Honda Offering More Than $20,000 Off Prologue Electric SUV

What Car Shoppers Need to Know

• With its 0 Series Saloon and SUV plans scrapped, the Prologue is Honda’s only electric vehicle for now.
• Honda incentivizing dealers with up to $24,000 for every Prologue sold
• Low-interest financing and cut-rate leases also available

There hasn’t been much good EV news out of Honda and its Acura luxury subsidiary lately. The  discontinuation of the Acura ZDX was announced in September 2025, and in early March, Honda announced the cancellation of the upcoming Honda 0 Series EVs and the Acura RSX.

But bad news for automakers is often great news for car shoppers. For the time being, the Prologue SUV is Honda’s only EV, and there are exceptionally generous deals to be had on it from now through the end of March.

The types of incentives include:

• Dealer cash: A payment from the automaker to the dealership for selling a vehicle, dealer cash is usually not advertised. How much of that payment the dealer is willing to pass on to the buyer will vary.
• Dealer lease cash: Dealer lease cash is the same as dealer cash — an unadvertised payment from the automaker to the dealer for each vehicle moved out of inventory — but applied to leases. Again, your savings will vary.
• Dealer cash plus APR: This variation on the dealer-cash incentive includes a lower upfront payment but is tied to promotional low interest rates when the purchase is financed through the automaker’s captive finance company — in this case, Honda Financial Services.
• Lease cash: Lease cash can take one of two forms. The first is a so-called capitalized-cost reduction that reduces the net cost of the vehicle being leased. As monthly payments are calculated from this figure, reducing the capitalized cost in turn lowers your monthly payments. Lease cash may also take the form of an upfront payment that leaves the cap cost, and therefore your monthly payments, unchanged but helps defray the cost of initiating the lease.
• Lease loyalty: A lease loyalty incentive is a cap cost reduction that is only available to current owners or lessees of the automaker’s products. Typically, you do not need to turn in your current lease to qualify.
• Conquest promotions: These incentives are only available to buyers who trade in a vehicle from a competing brand. These deals may apply to any vehicle from any other brand or be limited to specific makes and models.
• Purchase loyalty: Loyalty offers are only available to current owners and lessees of vehicles from the same brand or automaker (in this case, Honda). You usually do not need to trade in your current vehicle to qualify.
