What Car Shoppers Need to Know

  • $3,500 rebate on 2026 Ford Explorer from now through March 31
  • Explorer is Ford’s bestselling SUV
  • New base trim level and off-road-oriented Tremor join Explorer lineup this year

Ford overhauled its popular Explorer three-row SUV for 2025 with some exterior styling updates and a thorough interior rework. Shoppers bought more Explorers in 2025 than they did in 2024, and Ford is looking to keep that momentum building with a generous cash offer on the 2026 model. This offer is available nationwide from now through March 31.

Consumer Rebate: $3,500

Currently, shoppers can purchase a 2026 Explorer and get a consumer rebate of $3,500. Only customers who purchase a vehicle, not lease, can take advantage of the rebate, which can be used to lower the purchase price or the amount financed. They usually cannot be combined with other offers.

What’s New With the 2026 Ford Explorer?

After their face-lift last year, the carryover Explorer trim levels are unchanged for 2026. There are, however, two new entries in the lineup. A new base trim drops the starting price by more than $1,000 compared to the 2025 model, and the Tremor aims to carry families farther into the backcountry with a lifted suspension, 31-inch all-terrain tires, a limited-slip rear differential and skid plates.
