Best car I've ever owned
My 2005 Toyota Prius maintained high gas mileage, was comfortable for people of all heights and sizes in both the front and back seats, was very versatile for cargo of all shapes and sizes, handled well in all weather conditions, and had lots of front seat storage spaces. I had close to 200K miles on it when it was struck by a truck (left front side). Airbags deployed; no one hurt. Car totaled.

2005 Prius Review
Bought car for the gas milage. The car is in nice shape with high mileage. Most of these used Prius have been driven, but the one we purchased still runs good and has given us no trouble, I am very happy with my purchase. Alot of room, and great gas mileage. Used Cars.com alwasy to find all my cars, makes things easy. Very happy with my purchase and very happy with Cars.com for helping me find the car I wanted! Thanks

very reliable car
This car was the lowest cost per mile vehicle I have owned. I drove this vehicle over 163,000 miles but have driven other vehicles even more miles. My mileage over the 163,000 miles was over 46 mpg.

Two Prius Owner
05 has 186,000 miles on it. Drive in Northern NY in a mountainous area, never a problem. Three sets of brake pads. ( first one 90000), one muffler, serp. belt and water pump, two front bearings. Handles the same as the first day. 2010 Only 20,000 so far. Runs perfect. More zip than 05 and better mileage. ( 05 45mpg, 2010 50mpg) Best cars I have ever owned.

Great commuter car
When I bought this car, I expected to be commuting a great deal. Instead, I decided to retire. For commuters, the Prius is fantastic, but too uncomfortable for long drives. MPG: expect 45-50 without much sacrifice. Reliability is incomparable! Only problem in 5 years was the secondary battery (the small, cheap one). Performance: amazing, if that is what you really want. The electric motor works in concert with the gas motor for quickness. Bad weather performance is similarly amazing, considering its size and weight. Lots of space to stuff the car with luggage: inside is bigger than it looks. After I bought this one, three others in my family also bought one. All are pleased with their purchase. We upgraded to the more comfortable Camry Hybrid since we don't have to commute anymore.

Best car I've ever had
I bought it for economy, but found that it does everything else well. Roomy, quiet, comfortable, fun to drive, and surprisingly peppy. Nearing 100,000 miles with no unscheduled maintenance.

You Could Not Go Wrong
Such a great car for the money and performance. Never had any problems and I love the handling, stability and space. Very good visibility out of all the windows and surprpisingly great power for being a hybrid. I would highly recommend this car to anyone!

2005 Prius
There are a lot of differences of opinions when it comes to a Toyota Prius. When you read a review about a prius there are a few things to keep in mind. These things affect an owners view of gas mileage, comfort and everything in between. 1) What car did the previous owner have? (92' Honda Accord) 2) How many miles does the owner driver per day? (50) 3) How many passengers does the owner typically carry? (1) MPG: 48-50 It's a great car for me. I believe in saving money at the pump and shopping smart! I bought my 2005 Prius for $9850 with 93K miles with only one owner and a clean carfax report. The look and feel is practically brand new. A great car if you are really going to take advantage of what it offers. Good luck if you're shopping around.

I loved my Prius! Great Car, Pleasure to drive!!
Bought a new 2006 Prius! I have fibromyalgia and found this car a total pleasure to drive and handle. Only repairs needed were 2 front head lights that were paid for in full by Toyota without a hassle and total courtesy. Put 107,000 miles on the Prius before trading in on a PT Cruiser Convertible. Had a bike rack and small trailer hitch put on by Uhaul which made it so easy to go biking. Never towed anything, just used the bike rack. Had a navigation system that was awesome and easy voice commands. Only problem was could not use the nav system while driving, even if a passenger was avaialbe to use it... but could use voice commands. The screen for the nav system was large and much nicer than a smaller portable version. We figured the amount we saved in gas pd for the car! The sound system was excellent with multiple CD and mp3 capability as well as a jack for the ipod. Got about 47 mpg in the winter and 54 in the summer, but I drove the speed limit or below to get better mileage. I want my Prius back. I was so dependable and so easy to drive. I could drive the Prius about 400 miles per day before my body got sore. The PT Cruiser is much harder to drive and handle. The Prius seats were very comfortable. I want my Prius back!!! Wish I hadn't traded it in! My next car will be a Prius. I highly recommend the Prius to anyone!
