Comfy Cruiser/ Offroad bruiser
I love Jeeps. This is the first one I have owned and I am sure I will own many more. The car drives pretty good considering it is a Jeep. The steering can be a bit vague at times but point it in the direction you want to go and it will get there. If that means going through a field or a forest, so be it, the Jeep can handle it. Gas mileage is dreaded. However, you know that when buying a Jeep. If you expect better gas mileage, you are confused. The Limited trim comes with auto dimming mirrors, memory seats (which tie into the keyless entry), heated seats, digital auto climate control, even satelitte radio was installed and a 10-disc cd changer sits in the cargo hold. The room is plenty and fold down the rear seats and enjoy even more. This Jeep was well built, drives a little like a truck, but handles like a sports truck, and will go anywhere, through anything. I bought this to give me assurance of getting out of any situation (snow or mud) and it has not dissappointed.

Would Not Purchase Again
Seems like there are always problems with brakes, motor, etc. Do not really fully trust this vehicle however I do take in for inspections when required. Now the Seat Bracket broke on the drivers side -- cannot be repaired -- part cost over $500.00 alone.

Loved it, but alas she was totaled
I bought my '04 used with 38k on it. From the start I got the same rugged reliability of the Jeep name. In the 2 1/2 years I had it I beat the stuffing out of it and it always came back for more. I was T-boned in it and it bent the frame a little, but other than odd wear on the tires, She was fine. I rear-ended another car and they totaled her on me. So in two major collisions I can attest to the structural integrity of the car. I've done nothing but change the wiper blades, air filter, and oil filter to the vehicle in the 50k miles I drove it. that dependability will keep me coming back to the jeeps again. I bought the '04 because it was the last one with the I6. I hate the new engines and the V8's so I'm looking for a used ZJ, XJ or Wrangler now.

Best Jeep Yet
This is my 3rd Jeep and my second Grand Cherokee. I've owned Chryslers my whole life and they have been great. My Jeep gets me around in any conditions. It is reliable and has decsent power. The only problem I have had is a broken power window, witch is notorious in Jeeps. It is comfortable and well equiped. My Jeep has 90,000 miles on it and its still going strong. I love my Jeep and plan to get another one soon.

Just Empty Each Pocket (JEEP)
I own a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and it is nickel and diming me to death. I have replaced the starter and fuel pump twice in the past 6 months, a reoccurring problem. The mechanic says Jeep is notorious for these replacements in 2004 Jeeps. He says the only thing to do to stop spending money for repairs is to sell it. I don't even have 50,000 miles on it yet.

Overall good, but some annoying problems
We've had our Jeep for almost 5 years now and, for the most part, it's been a good vehicle. It's comfortable and rides fairly well. It pulls well. The gas mileage isn't great, but better than some SUVs. The main problems we've had have been windows (two off track that cost about $800 between them to fix) and now a bad lifter in the engine that's going to cost $1,000 or more to fix. All of this has occurred within the past 2 years. The vehicle has about 90,000 miles on it, so we've had pretty good luck, but if this continues, it'll get too expensive to keep.

so far great suv
This is my second jeep gc.This is as far as Im concerned the best suv for off road.Just because a suv has 4 wheel drive does not make them a off roader. This one has quadra drive and the only way you can stop this jeep is get all the wheels off the ground.I love the looks of the 04 and will probanle not by another one because of the new body style I hate the looks of the 05 and up.One thing that I do hate about this jeep is the gas mileage,It stinks.Other than that its great.

Be warned- Brakes and windows
This is my 3rd JGC and I had accepted a few faults like the brakes wearing too quick on allof them. But now it is really adding up. front and back done 2x now ($365 each, and now the window issue (off track new regulator $500). I even contacted Chrysler national and that ended without any help. These problems have been so well documented by consumers that jeep should step up and make the design changes or fess up and pay for the fix. Once a happy Jeep owner but no longer.

Absolutely Wonderful vehicle
I've owned my Jeep GC SE for about 3 years & haven't had one problem with it. I've driven Jeep GCs for 15 years & this has been the best by far. There's a reason Jeeps have such a good reputation & the GCs are such a status symbol. I only wish I had the navigation system, but at $2,000 to have it installed, it's a little out of my price range. GREAT CAR.

Not so good car
This Jeep is problem after problem. So far the breaks have yet to work normal, left rear window came off tracks, and a few other minor events. We stopped takeing the car to the factory because Jeep has yet to do anything worth the money we gave them. Oh and its very slow! I wouldn't reccomend this car to anyone that is liveing in the normal city life. But its a good outdoor car.
