Fell in Love with this car!
Was impressed with this car the minute I drove it! I loved the inline 6 cylinder and the fact that it only had one previous owner . I also was impressed with the low mileage and the condition of the leather interior as well as the engine's durablility was the best I've seen. The car was immaculate, the engine was clean, no oil leaks, and the excellent brakes "stopped the car on a dime." The most impressive feature of this vehicle was the customer service provided by the salesman and the financial Service Manager. Great vehicle!

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Rocky Mountain Edition
I drive a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I absolutely love it I drive it to school and back it has great fuel mileage. And I would have this car when I get out of college and keep it until it doesn't work anymore.

My first Jeep
I had been looking for a vehicle for some time, and could not afford to buy a new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Finally, I found one, drove it two blocks, turn around and buy the vehicle. It's never been stuck; the frame never cracks or flexes; the I-6 4.0 engine is the absolute best motor I'ver ever driven. Tight now my Jeep has roughly 112k miles and runs like it's brand new. This is the best vehicle I've ever owned, and definately plan on buying another Jeep down the road. But I have no intention of getting rid of this beauty. This is the last year Jeep had the classic body style, and dual axle, so I'm told. The body is as solid as it gets. I used to have a Chevy Blazer 4x4 and it was always cracking and creeking over any and all bumps. Not this Jeep. She can take anything I can give her and does it with ease.

Great overall package
Purchased our 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 30K 6 years ago and now has 119K. I won't say it's never had its issues but me and my wife love it for what it is. It has a well-laid out interior, and the ability to separately open the liftgate glass is handy at times. The seats are great- very comfortable and there is plenty of room to sit in back with the front seat adjusted for me- I'm 6' tall. Plenty of room and capacity to tow/haul- we once fit an overstuffed love seat in back and I've pulled 4000 lbs with it. It is very maneuverable with a very tight turning circle and in a pinch it'll fit in a compact parking spot. And of course, being "trail rated" with the Selec-Trac T-case and solid front/rear axles it will go over or through just about anything. We have had it through some intense snowy Maine winters, a cross country road trip, and in the heat of Hawaii and it has never broken down, been stuck, or left us stranded. Other than normal maintenance, I had the front lower suspension arm bushings and the front diff pinion seal replaced under warranty, had the dealer replace the water pump and brake master cylinder, and personally replaced the passenger door window motor, battery, brake pads and rotors 3 times(as other reviewers have noted they are a problem), both front calipers and one rear, all 4 shocks, steering stabilizer, muffler and tailpipe, both headlight housings, 2 pieces of weatherstripping, and I had to "re-engineer" some wiring issues. Even at an average 15-16 mpg and looking back on some curse-worthy moments, I would say it's been worth it because I'm not convinced that there is any other vehicle out there with the overall toughness, utility, and comfort that our Grand Cherokee provides us. Every mile now it's paying me back and when it makes it to 200K without major engine/trans failure or my wife wrecking it, I'll be all smiles.

Favorite vehicle
I always wanted a Jeep and in 2004 I was able to finally purchase a new Grand Cherokee Limited. August of 2014 my favorite vehicle. Couple minor issues, the driver side wiring did go bad but was an easy repair. The Engine light as others have detailed coming on and off is simply the gas cap design. You need to pay attention when putting it back in after refueling. If not tight the check engine light will come on, but a very simple item to figure out and deal with. 194K and still purrs like a kitten. I use the V-8 to haul my boat with complete ease. Travel up and down 95 every month in a smooth and comfortable vehicle with ample space for luggage and dog. Highly recommend a Jeep. Never own a car again !

Not bad, Not Great
Had this car until this week. Got rid of it with 261,000 KM on it. The Jeep Cherokee took a beating from me. Around the 170,000 KM range it started to rust and begun falling apart. Gas mileage on the 4.0 L 6cyl was not great. it was fairly reliable and maybe could have got 300,000 KM out of it.

I would recommend it to anyone looking for a safe suv. and I would get another one any day and most people wouldn't step neer a car they could have got killed in but I honestly would feel safe. Great jeep and I miss it.

Not as good as my 2003 Jeep
This Jeep doesn't seem to drive as well as the 2003 one I owned before. It doesn't have a sunroof, but it has window guards so you can roll your windows down partially when it's raining. We bought it for the 4 wheel drive feature to help us get through snow, mud or whatever else we might need it for.

my first 4wd vehicle
Just today 5/9/13 bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4wd from Montgomeryville,Nissan in Montgomeryville, Pa. Previously had 02 concorde lxi, loved it, but was in an accident and had to replace it fast. Always liked the Grand Cherokees but never found at the right price with decent mileage. On cars.com I found Montgomeryville Nissan and my Grand Cherokee with good mileage and an even better price. I live over an hour away and had no way to get to the dealership, they provided me with shuttle service and in no time at all I was driving home in my Grand Cherokee, it was by far the best car buying experience I had in my life. Anybody needing a vehicle should absolutely stop by and talk to these people. From Tery Jurczak my salesperson ,Drew Pearlman sales manager(who got my deal done with a great rate) and Steve Natale Business manager whom I signed the deal with, you guys were great thanks again for everything, when I do decide to ge a 2nd vehicle I will be back. If I had to rate my overall experience at Montgomeryville Nissan from 1 to 10 they would get a 20.
