this is a great car. i have not had any major problems in the 7 yrs that i have had it (bought it new in '03). it has had routine oil changes, new tires, and brakes. I had to have A/C repaired. It was not working properly when I got it. Luckily it was still under warranty. My driver-side side view mirror got loose last yr. It was easy to replace. The gas gauge stopped working properly about 2 yrs ago (i haven't had it repaired yet). No engine problems, etc.

I've had my Jeep for almost 4 years now and haven't had any trouble with it. Highly suggest doing the recommended maintenance on time-- seen other reviews and you can guess who has done the due diligence with their Jeep. Put in the time and money with routine maintenance on break pads, tires, fluids, etc and you'll have a great Jeep to go well into 150,000+ miles. Interiors are nice on the 04s but you can still take them on the trail and play around in the mud. Recommend this to anyone looking for a good value and longlasting SUV.

My third Grand Cherokee. Every one has had electrical trouble. Poor material or workmanship. Always several hundred dollars. Love the performance or would look for a different manufacturer.

After spending several weeks looking for a truck I found this one I traded in my VW Jetta and I have never look back since. Excellent valve for the money and it was pretty much a straight trade. Thank you.

I have been driving a honda Hybrid Civic for 3 years. I decided to get something larger and found a great deal on a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, what a difference! Yes i had to put new brakes and rotors on the rear and tires all around, yes the gas mileage is only 23 on the highway but oh what comfort and room. i can see the highway and do not need to struggle to get in and out. The price i paid was about 1/3 what it cost new and it is in great shape so far.

Depending on how you drive this car is ok, driving slowly will get u a good 15 mpg city, which takes away the power the 4.7 H.O. engine is made for. it gets 10 driving it fast. highway gets bout 18. gotta expect that though with a vehicle of the size. Thats the only flaw. its the most comfortable vehicle ive owned, the most stylish, the fanciest and the best performance. wouldnt reccomend buying this if u go from paycheck to paycheck. but by far i love this vehicle!!!!

We have had nothing but trouble with this car. Bought it in San Francisco 2004 and shipped it to Spain Windows have had to be replaced at great expence All sorts of things have gone wrong. Just paid another $800 for some electronic problem and when we were in the garage have been told they need to replace the seat heaters as they may go on fire . The fact that we have been sitting on the things for the past six years is a little disturbing. All in all a bad job. I have a BMW x5 again 2004 not a bleep from it, never had to replace a thing the difference is remarkable .

I recently purchased a 2004 Grand Cherokee Limited. This compliments my 2001 Laredo and a '99 Cherokee Sport. It's obvious that we enjoy the brand despite the negative issues that occasionally pop up. However, when it comes to Chicago winters, I've NEVER been stuck. The four wheel drive system is the best. Since my wife drives this one, she doesn't have to worry about shifting into 4WD during bad weather thanks to the QuadraDrive transmission. We also go to Camp Jeep events and have been high up in the Rockie Mountains without a major problem. When used as it was intended to be used, rather than just going to the mall and back, it's an astounding vehicle. But even trips to the home goods store show off the good traits. It's unfortunate that this is all so many get to use it for. We love them & would not consider another SUV. I like the newer styling because it's closer to the original, but my wife loves this look.

This is the first car I have ever gotten brand new(had 51 miles on it). I have only had the tires changed, after almost 90,000mi. and the brakes done twice. I have just under 105,000 mi. on it now and love its reliability. The only issue I have with it is I have is the ABS light comes on every so often but it has never affected performance. The engine is very solid along with the whole drivetrain. I run it frequently in 4-wheel drive in the winters here. When the time comes to get another vehicle, I will be looking to get another one to park next to this one!

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo brand new. Only trouble was window track trouble both windows and axle seal. Its been a great SUV and never left me sitting. current mileage 95,000 and I while buy another.
