Purchased a pre-owned Tahoe in January.
Purchased a pre-owned Tahoe in January. We live in Ohio and it has been very cold. We had a couple of nice days April 23-24. No air conditioning!! Opened the sunroof for the first time and the black plastic side panel that covers the metal fell off which probably isn't a huge expense but added to my frustration. Emailed the salesman, he assured me that it would be taken care of because of the time of year they just accidentally missed it. I didn't think to check because it was January. He talked to Amy, his manager and called me back. She offered to run a diagnostic for free but refused to fix. Took it in, they did a free diagnostic and informed me that all A/C lines were corroded and something like a evaporator or condenser cap (over $700) needs replaced and it would be $3297.43 to repair. Obviously, all of the A/C system did not corrode within 3 months of no use. The salesman no longer returned my emails (imagine that!). Emailed the main manager for a copy of the original intake where they checked the systems asking for a copy of the original intake report and have been ignored. Put a review on google and got the response stating how sorry they were to hear about it and thanks for bringing to their attention. The owner stated that he was getting to the appropriate personnel. That was the end of it. They never contacted me. So they sold a car, possibly purposely with issues and are unwilling to make it right. We were looking on their lot while my Tahoe was being worked on for a truck Very obviously, will not purchase from them again. Will let anyone I know learn of their dishonesty. For the record, Took the Tahoe to Serpentini Chevrolet, they repaired for over $2000.00 less than the Marhofer quote. There was nothing wrong with the previously mentioned cap. Would highly recommend Serpentini, their staff was extremely friendly.

They made me an offer for my trade-in on line which was acceptable. I disclosed what was wrong with it at that time, which wasn’t much as it has less than 24k miles on it.We drove 40 miles after work to make our appointment for a test drive of the vehicle we were interested in. When we arrived they offered us a seat, took some information, took our keys, took our car for a test drive while we sat there. When they returned they offered $2500 less than the on line offer, stating Kelly Blue Book, which they use, was running high, and it had one damaged tire. They refused to allow us to even test drive the vehicle we were there to look at until we agreed to their price for our trade. They stated it was out of respect for their customers that they got that out of the way first when in reality it saves them the fuel and miles it would have cost them for me to drive their vehicle. I don’t recall ever feeling that much disrespect at a dealership in my life. Never did take the test drive I had made the appointment for.
