The issue involves a software fault code, which may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying when the vehicle is in Reverse, reducing driver visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
The software will be updated by a dealer or via over-the-air update for free. Volvo will begin notifying owners June 24, but those with further questions in the meantime can call Volvo at 800-458-1552 (Volvo’s number for this recall is R10320), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
