Mercedes-Benz is recalling over 92,800 examples of its GLC SUV over issues with the C-pillar.

Affected vehicles include model-year 2023-25 GLC300 and GLC300 4Matic SUVs, model-year 2024-25 AMG GLC43 4Matic SUVs, and model-year 2025 GLC350e 4Matic and AMG GLC63 S E Performance SUVs; those affected are equipped with a panoramic moonroof. In crash scenarios, where the rear passenger’s head comes into contact with the C-pillar, the pillar may not absorb an adequate amount of impact, increasing the risk of injury.

As a fix, dealers will modify the roof lining and C-pillar trim for free. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 4, but those who have further questions may contact Mercedes-Benz at 800-367-6372, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
