South Korean automaker Kia is recalling more than 14,800 examples of its redesigned 2027 Telluride three-row SUV and new 2026 K4 Hatchback over an issue with a rear seat belt.

The issue involves the rear center seat belt anchor buckle in the backseat of the K4 and in the third-row of the Telluride. Due to a manufacturing error, the seat belt may not latch properly and may fail to restrain an occupant in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect and replace the anchor buckle assembly, as necessary, for free. Kia will notify owners May 5, but those with further questions can contact the brand at 800-333-4542 (Kia’s number for this recall is SC364), call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
