How Much Is the 2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV?
What Car Shoppers Need to Know
- No significant changes for 2026
- Compact electric SUV with up to 319 miles of range
- Pricing starts at $36,795 (including destination fee)
The 2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV is a handsome little electric SUV, but it’s not showy. It doesn’t have headline-grabbing range or charging speeds, and there’s no 600-horsepower SS variant. It shares its name with an unassuming gas-powered SUV — but just as its internal-combustion namesake leverages fundamental goodness and competence into a place among the bestselling vehicles in the country, the Equinox EV is one of the most popular EVs in the U.S.

Pricing
It certainly helps the Equinox EV’s popularity that it’s one of the most affordable EVs on sale today. The base price creeps up $1,800 from 2025, but comparison beyond that is difficult since Chevrolet has reorganized the electric vehicle’s trim levels. The 2026 Equinox EV is on sale now; full pricing (including $1,800 destination charge) is as follows, with all-wheel drive an additional $3,300 for each trim:
- LT 1: $36,795
- LT 2: $43,595
- RS: $45,895
What’s Changed for 2026
Other than the restructured trim-level hierarchy and a different white paint (Polar White instead of 2025’s Iridescent Pearl Tricoat), there are no changes to the Equinox EV for 2026.

Range
Central to the Equinox EV’s appeal is its range: an EPA-rated 319 miles for all front-wheel-drive models. Even with AWD, the Equinox EV is good for up to 307 miles on a charge.
All Equinox EVs have an 85-kilowatt-hour battery pack. Single-motor SUVs drive their front wheels with 220 horsepower and 243 pounds-feet of torque; with another motor powering the rear axle, AWD variants have 300 hp and 355 pounds-feet. Capable of DC fast charging at up to a decent 150 kilowatts, the Equinox EV can add 77 miles of range in 10 minutes.
Standard and Optional Features
The Equinox EV LT 1 rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and features LED headlights and taillights, keyless entry and start, automatic climate control, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch touchscreen with Google Built-In and navigation, and a six-speaker audio system.
The LT 2 heaps on a hands-free power liftgate, heated side mirrors, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats (power-adjustable for the driver), a heated steering wheel, a wireless phone charger and ambient lighting.
Other than its black 21-inch wheels, the RS is otherwise functionally identical to the LT 2. It does, however, get a black roof, chrome and gloss-black lower-body trim, and black exterior mirror housings. Inside, the RS sports a flat-bottom steering wheel.
Chevrolet fits the Equinox EV with an impressive suite of standard safety technologies. Features include forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure steering assist, blind spot intervention, front and rear cross-traffic alert with automatic emergency braking, rear parking sensors and automatic high beams. The LT 2 bolsters the safety suite with a 360-degree camera system, rear pedestrian alert and road-sign recognition.
Chevy parent GM’s hands-free Super Cruise highway-driving tech is optional on the LT 2 and RS, bundled with automated parking in the Active Safety Package 3. A head-up display is also optional for those trim levels.

If you’re basing your choice on miles per dollar, the Equinox is the pick as no more affordable EV can go farther.
