In early January, child-safety seat manufacturer Evenflo recalled a population of its All4One 4-in-1 convertible seat over an issue that could affect the security of the seat. The brand is now recalling more than 64,000 examples of its Titan 65 convertible seat over a missing tether strap.

Affected model numbers are CS200312198, CS200311198, 3712198 and 3711198. The tether strap may be absent on these seats and may not protect a child in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Evenflo is advising owners to check their child-safety seat for a tether strap. If the tether strap is absent, the brand will mail one with instructions to owners for free. Interim letters notifying owners of the issue will be mailed Feb. 20; additional letters will be mailed once the remedy becomes available. Those with further questions in the meantime can contact Evenflo customer service at 800-233-5921 or visit NHTSA’s website to check their car seat’s brand or model for other recalls and learn more.
