Affected Ford models include the following and their associated model years:

  • 2021-22 F-150 SUVs and Mustang cars
  • 2021-23 Bronco and Explorer SUVs, and F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty and F-550 trucks
  • 2022 Expedition SUVs

Affected Lincoln vehicles include:

  • 2021-22 Navigator SUVs
  • 2021-23 Aviator SUVs

The low-pressure fuel pump may fail, which can result in the engine stalling while driving. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.

The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 14; in the meantime, owners with further questions may contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford’s number for this recall is 25S75), the National Traffic Safety Administration vehicle-safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236, or visit the NHTSA website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
