In addition to a major recall for its Palisade, Hyundai is also issuing a recall alongside its fellow South Korean automaker Kia for software errors in instrument panel displays. More than 84,300 vehicles are cumulatively affected.

Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail to show critical safety information (e.g., the speedometer or warning lights), increasing the risk of a crash.
The software will be updated via an over-the-air update or by a dealer for free. Kia will notify owners by March 26, Hyundai by March 27. Those with further questions in the meantime can call Hyundai at 855-371-9460 (its number for this recall is 293), Kia at 800-333-4542 (its number is SC361), or visit NHTSA’s website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
