Honda is recalling more than 65,100 examples of its Prologue and Acura ZDX electric SUVs over an issue that may cause the instrument panel and infotainment screens to fail. (Acura is Honda’s luxury brand.)

Affected vehicles include model-year 2024 Prologues and ZDXs. Software errors may cause the instrument panel and center infotainment screens to go blank while the vehicle is in motion. The instrument panel provides drivers with critical information like the speedometer and warning lights, and the center infotainment screen provides drivers with a rearview camera image when the vehicle is in Reverse. The risk of a crash is increased when these screens are not visible.

To resolve the issue, dealers will update the vehicle radio control module software for free. Honda will notify owners April 20, but those with questions in the meantime can contact Honda at 888-234-2138 (Honda’s numbers for this recall are TNL and XNK), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
