Styling Details and Options
The 2027 Mercedes-AMG GLC53 4Matic+ will be available in both traditional SUV and coupe (fastback-inspired SUV) body styles. The coupe has sportier styling at the cost of practicality, as the sloped roofline cuts into second-row passenger and cargo space, and will most likely carry a significant price premium, as well. Typical AMG-exclusive details include a bigger body-color-matched rear spoiler on the roof (SUV) or trunk lid (coupe) and gloss-black finishes on the larger front splitter, rear diffuser and air outlets on the rear bumper.
The Golden Accents Package, which is limited to the 2027 model year, pairs exclusive detailing with either Obsidian Black Metallic or Graphite Grey Magno exterior colors. Exterior features include 21-inch matte-black AMG forged wheels with gold lips and center caps, black brake calipers with white AMG logos and a silver-chrome fuel filler cap with a black AMG logo. Inside, the AMG sport seats wear black leather upholstery with color-coded bolsters and contrast stitching, while the carbon-fiber dash trim gets upgraded with gold thread. The AMG logo also adorns the doorsills and floor mats.
Another visual upgrade option is the AMG Night Package, which finishes the side mirror caps, door handles, badging and tailpipe surrounds in gloss black or dark chrome.

Powertrain Specs and Options
The AMG GLC53 4Matic+ pairs the familiar 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system and a nine-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles. Though the inline-six is a Mercedes staple, the AMG upgrades include a “twin-charging” mild-hybrid system that pairs a turbocharger and a 48-volt electric motor, supported by hardware upgrades that include a new cylinder head, exhaust ports, a camshaft, an intake system and an intercooler. The result is 443 hp and 443 pounds-feet of torque, which can be increased to 472 pounds-feet for 10 seconds with an overboost feature. The GLC53 gets an updated power curve and better support at the lower end for smoother brake regeneration and start-stop fuel-saving functionality. Fuel economy ratings will be available closer to the on-sale date.
The AWD system can be upgraded with an electronic limited-slip differential with the available AMG Dynamic Plus Package. Selectable drive modes for Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual (customizable) are standard and adjust engine, transmission, suspension and steering tuning; the Dynamic Plus Package adds Race and Drift modes. Mercedes-Benz claims a 4.1-second 0-60 mph sprint time with Race Mode. Other Dynamic Plus settings enable a manual shift mode via steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, as well as Basic, Advanced and Pro settings for stability control and AWD. This package increases the electronically limited top speed from 155 mph to 167 mph.
The exhaust system features new resonators for enhanced engine sound, and a selectable exhaust system with AMG Real Performance Sound is available.
Release Date and Pricing
The 2027 Mercedes-AMG GLC53 4Matic+ will be available in the second half of 2026, with pricing available closer to its on-sale date.
