The 2020 Toyota 4Runner is one of the few remaining truck-based mid-size SUVs for sale today, and its old-school look and platform give the rugged SUV an old-school feel. Inside, however, some updates keep it fresh and help it catch up with competitors in two key areas: multimedia and safety.

The Toyota Safety Sense-P suite of safety features is also standard; it includes automatic emergency braking, lane departure and sway warnings, automatic high beams and adaptive cruise control.

All models come with a 270-horsepower, 4.0-liter V-6 and a five-speed automatic transmission. TRD models come with standard four-wheel drive, the others with a choice of rear- or four-wheel drive. Seating arrangements range from five to seven with the available third row.
