CARS.COM — Mitsubishi’s best-selling model in the United States is about to get some updates. The automaker has unveiled the new 2018 Outlander Sport ahead of next week’s New York International Auto Show.

The compact crossover will get a refreshed front bumper, headlight and grille design featuring LED running lights. Out back, a new bumper cap and rear lights round out the changes. The rest of the sheet metal carries over from the current model, but there’s a new available color (Alloy Silver).

Inside, there’s a new floor console and shift lever, as well as a new 7-inch Smartphone Link display audio system that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.

If you like things a little fancier, you can opt for the new Touring Package, which will include a panoramic moonroof and a host of advanced electronic safety features like forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights and a backup camera. Mitsubishi says the Touring Package models should be a bit quieter, too, with additional tuning to improve noise, vibration and harshness.

Look for the new Outlander Sport in dealer showrooms later this fall.
