So far it's GREAT

It drives very smoothly, with average miliage for trips nearly always above 50 MPG and frequently in the mid 60's!! Acceleration is solid enough to enter and engage traffic successfully and with style. Range is solidly over 500 miles. Lumbar support is very good, but not as good as a Lincoln continental I owned previously, but that boat fell apart the month the warrantee ended. I'll keep the Prius any day. Extremely capable Entune system makes hands free calling easy and clear, music from my phone, radio, DC and Pandora all easily accessible, and the maping is a dream. I estimate I'll save about $25k over 10 years in gas over a 30mpg car. AMAZING. It'll pay for itself.

Love my Prius

I love this car, first 4 tankfuls of gas have averaged 53 MPG. The technology is really cool, not a single fan belt,AC, water pump, power steering all run on their own separate electric motors. AC can run without engine running. I got a base model but it still has Bluetooth and a nice sound system. Zero problems.

best gas mileage I've ever owned

I'm very happy with this Prius. I haul two kids everywhere. I just checked my gas mileage when I got gas today and I'm getting 52.6 miles to the gallon city/highway. Sure beats my minivan that got 20 mpg city/highway!

Amazing car!

I have owned my Prius for about a month. It is absolutely amazing! I've driven it for 1200 miles and I'm still on my 2nd tank of gas. And it's only an 11.5 gallon tank! I have the Prius 3 and I love the navigation system with backup camera and the voice activated system that allows for completely hands-free calling, navigation, etc. I LOVE this car!

Great overall car

Drove an '04 Prius for 147,000 miles before a mystery Hybrid problem developed that was never resolved. Traded in on '10. There about 5 annoying issues witht he '04, all of which were resolved. The one issue with the '10 is the seats. They are thiner and not as comfortable. Have had back problems that go away only when I stop driving the car for several days. Probably will get rid of it after only 1 1/2 years. can't deal witht he seat problem. They admit to changing the seat but there is no resolution. To bad.

Gen 2 Prius

We drove our 07 Prius 86,200 miles with no problems. It ran well getting us where we needed/wanted to go efficiently. It hauled the peculiar stuff we needed to transport. We enjoyed driving it. We especially liked pulling in for gas; almost never over $30 to fill up. Because the Prius is driven more, we chose to upgrade it instead of a pickup. A great decision. The cost for owning and operating our Gen 2 Prius was about 32 cents per mile. When the IRS allows a standard business rate of over 55 cents par mile, 32 cents seems like a real bargain. The Gen 3 has improvements (sleeker body style, larger engine, more room, improved remote/smart key) over the Gen 2. The Gen 3 is more fun to drive.

Good Reliable Choice

I bought this car mostly for the gas savings. I get 52 MPG and is a great car for city driving. Also, no maintenance is a big benefit. PROS: Great gas mileage. No or low maintenance. Easy driving. I like the hybrid automatically switching to gas when necessary. I like the reduction in my auto insurance due to the many safety features. CONS: I hate hearing the beep whenever it goes into Reverse. No beep sound when the doors are all locked. I have to manually check myself. I do not like the hybrid battery positioned behind the back seat as a concern about emf emission safety for humans. Many antenna throughout the vehicle make for concern about health safety. The leg room in passenger and driver side could be larger.

Great car all-round

Not the most "fun to drive" in terms of traditional car stuff but very fun to own: all the little luxury features like the automatic key that I pooh poohed initially have turned out to be quite convenient; get the backup camera, too, really helps with reversing. The GPS leaves something to be desired but it's improved from the last model. And, you simply can't beat 50mpg. The fun of driving is now trying to beat my mpg record.

surprisingly quick

I never drove, or really looked at the Prius vehicles. I decided mainly due to Toyota's reputation and what I read about it. I bought my vehicle, site unseen, and received it about 2 weeks later. I decided on the 'low end' model called Prius 2, as the extras don't mean much to me and this model has everything that I wanted anyway. I am very pleased with the way it handles and the power and speed it can produce. My only negative comment is that the seat coverings look cheap on my model.
