American Luxury is back!
I am a research hog. I have probably seen every video, revew, etc on the luxury compact and subcompact SUVs. I checked out a few. This Caddy stands out. You need to check it out. Well worth your time.

Love It!
I traded in my 2015 Cadillac Escalade for my Premium Luxury XT4 with all the bells and whistles I wanted. I can't say enough about this little crossover. I used to have a Cadillac SRX and actually hated it and decided to order Cadillac Escalade. I thoroughly enjoyed that SUV but since I'm the only person using it - it needed a new home to enjoy. After test driving both the XT5 and the XT4, I preferred the XT4. It's fun to drive, has a lot of pep and just the love the turbo engine. I'm getting 30 miles to the gallon with just putting regular unleaded in it. I'm not putting the premium grade in as suggested, not for a 4 cylinder. It's had 4 recalls which were all taken care of by my dealership which is the greatest by the way - Preston Superstore in Burton, Ohio. Just an overall fun vehicle to drive.

Too many rattles.
Seat belts rattled-dealer said normal told to adjust the seat belt height. Only stopped it for a short while before needing fudged with again. Plus hard to adjust passenger seat when that rattles and alone driving. Console ( like where an ashtray would be) rattled. Dealer told me to just keep it closed. Didn’t help all the time. I didn’t like all the rattles and didn’t like the service at Hennessy Cadillac in Duluth GA either. I sold the car. Too bad GM. I was giving you a try and was let down.

A good car but a couple of potential problems
Car had no oil showing on the dipstick when I took it in for the first oil change at 7000 miles. Dealer said there was a nick in the oil filter seal and "maybe" that was the problem. However there was no external oil showing under the engine or oil spots on the driveway. Possible it was sold with NO OIL in the engine. I am checking the oil level every time I fill up with gas and it seems to be holding. Hope the engine has not suffered significant wear damage. Also the climate system occasionally indicates it is 'off' when it is really on.

Engine a danger
While driving on the interstate my engine lost power and had I not been near the exit I hate to think of the major accident I could have been in. After turning the car off the power returned but I can only wonder how safe this car is.

Worst car I’ve ever bought .. by far! Don’t do it!
I bought the car new .. so far, speakers in door are rattling, paint is peeling in the front of the car and tonight we discovered the back hatch has been leaking water. One thing after another with this hunk of junk. Lord I wished we would have bought the Lexus instead. Wish I had that day to do this over again. It’s my first and VERY last Cadillac EVER!

Lacks safety features expect on a luxury vehicle.
Generally a great vehicle, but, lacks safety features expected on a luxury vehicle. Smooth ride but rather sluggish acceleration. Has the interval control which is normally used for adaptive cruise control, but, in this vehicle appears to do nothing. Very deceptive in my opinion.

Premium Luxury
So far very happy with this car. Very responsive and comfortable driving position. Handles well and love the styling, massage seat, apple car play. The only things that could improve our ride quality over bumps and base stereo could be a bit better. Also need to get technology package to get full LED"s on premium luxury which was a surprise.

Love it! Cadillac has a winner on their hands
Overall we really like the XT4. Outside it looks amazing and not like every other bland looking crossover. Inside is very well laid out, comfortable and high quality. The infotainment is perfect. The drivetrain is very good. Very responsive and fuel efficient when driven conservatively. My best HWY mileage over 25 miles is 40+. 30’s is easily obtainable and combined city/Hwy is in the upper 20’s.
