How Much Is the 2027 Volvo EX60?
What Car Shoppers Need to Know
- All-new electric Volvo SUV is slightly larger than a Honda CR-V
- Volvo estimates up to 400 miles of range
- Pricing starts at $59,795 (all prices include a $1,395 destination charge).
As popular as gasoline-powered small and mid-size SUVs have been, it’s little surprise that the segment has also emerged as the dominant electric-vehicle form. Among the newest arrivals is the 2027 Volvo EX60, a sleek electric SUV that is only a few inches longer than a Honda CR-V but sets itself apart with seriously impressive range.

- P6 Ultra: $66,395
- P10 AWD Plus: $62,145
- P10 AWD Ultra: $68,745
Powertrain Specs and Range
At first, the EX60 will be available with two configurations, RWD and AWD. The entry-level EX60 P6 will come with RWD and a single motor producing 369 horsepower and 354 pounds-feet of torque. Volvo expects the P6’s 83-kilowatt-hour battery pack to provide up to 307 miles of range.
The mid-level EX60 P10 gets a second motor for AWD; combined output is 503 hp and 524 pounds-feet. Volvo says it will accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds versus 5.7 for the P6. Along with its additional motor, the P10 also gets a larger battery, a 95-kWh pack good for up to 322 miles of rated range.
There’s a still-larger pack in the range-topping EX60 P12, which boasts a 117-kWh battery that allows it to travel up to 400 miles on a charge, per Volvo’s estimates. That’s despite the P12 generating a combined 670 hp and 583 pounds-feet. Volvo says the P12 can hit 60 from rest in a scant 3.8 seconds.
Equipped with a Tesla-style North American Charging Standard port, the AWD EX60 can charge at up to 370 kilowatts. (The RWD P6 maxes out at 320 kW.) That allows it to add up to 173 miles in just 10 minutes on a DC fast charger or replenish its battery from 10% to 80% charged in as little as 16 minutes.
Impressive as the EX60’s range is — the P12’s 400-mile figure puts it comfortably among the longest-range EVs you can buy today — it’s already overshadowed by one of the Volvo’s direct competitors. The 2027 BMW iX3 has a maximum manufacturer-estimated range of 434 miles — but a mere 463 hp. Do you even go 0-60 in 4 seconds, bro? (BMW claims 4.7 seconds) EVs are wild.
Standard and Optional Features
The 2027 EX60 fortifies Volvo’s reputation for safety with a comprehensive suite of standard driver-assistance technologies, including the brand’s Pilot Assist semi-autonomous highway driving. Other standard features include forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, emergency steering assist, adaptive cruise control, lane departure steering assist, blind spot intervention, front and rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, road-sign recognition, a driver-attention monitor and a 360-degree parking camera.
The Plus trim might be the entry level, but it is far from base. Its long list of standard equipment includes 20-inch wheels, LED headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a fixed panoramic moonroof, a hands-free power liftgate and digital key capability, which allows the owner to use their smartphone as a vehicle key and for remote monitoring. The EX60’s cabin is upholstered in synthetic leather upholstery and features heated and power-adjustable front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control and an 11.4-inch digital instrument cluster. Infotainment needs are handled by a 15-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging and a 21-speaker Bose sound system.
A $6,600 upgrade with either the P6 or P10 powertrain, the Ultra trim level adds 21-inch wheels, upgraded LED headlights, acoustically insulated glass, electrochromic dimming for the panoramic moonroof and heated windshield-wiper blades. Inside, the Ultra gains Nappa leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, heated rears, a heated steering wheel, Volvo’s signature crystal infotainment control knob and a 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
