The 2027 BMW iX3 debuts a new styling language that will eventually adorn every vehicle in the automaker’s diverse lineup. It launches a new interior concept that reimagines where the driver looks for information as basic as vehicle speed. And the iX3 marks the arrival of BMW’s next-generation electrical architecture, which enables a remarkable leap in range. Additionally, the marque announced the iX3 50 xDrive’s price, which is $62,850 (including destination fee).

Initially, BMW claimed the electric SUV would have a range of up to 400 miles, which would put the iX3 in elite company. With sales set to begin in the summer, the automaker has revised that figure — up. BMW says the iX3 will travel up to 434 miles on a charge from its rather large 112.2-kilowatt-hour battery. That would give it the fourth-longest range of any electric vehicle currently available. Check out the list of EV range leaders below.
| Rank | Model | Range (Miles) |
| 1 | Lucid Air | 512 |
| 2 | Chevrolet Silverado EV | 493 |
| 3 | Lucid Gravity | 450 |

Notably, the iX3 achieves that range with a starting price BMW says will be $62,850. The Lucid Air Grand Touring achieves its 512-mile range at a base price of $116,400, while the Gravity Grand Touring starts at $100,750. The Chevrolet Silverado EV betters the iX3 for a mere $76,295, but that’s in the fleet-special Work Truck trim.
To find a vehicle cheaper than the iX3 in the list above, you need to work your way down to 10th place, the compact Mercedes-Benz CLA250 With EQ Technology, which not only gives up 60 miles to the BMW, but also requires you to take a breath halfway through speaking its name.
The iX3’s maximum range is with 20-inch summer tires, a no-cost option; from there, mpg-equivalent range drops as you add different wheel and tire combinations.
| Wheel and Tire Combination | Combined MPG-E | Combined Range (Miles) |
| 20-inch summer tires (no-cost option) | 118 | 434 |
| 20-inch all-season tires (standard) | 102 | 383 |
| 21-inch summer tires | 105 | 398 |
| 21-inch all-season tires | 105 | 399 |
| 22-inch summer tires | 104 | 392 |
The BMW iX3 is expected to go on sale in late September, while reservations are being accepted now on BMWUSA.com with a $1,000 deposit.
