On the heels of a recall affecting a number of its electric vehicles, Toyota and its Lexus luxury brand now are recalling approximately 591,000 vehicles over an issue with instrument panels.

All affected vehicles are from the 2023-25 model years. Toyota vehicles include the following:
Affected Lexus vehicles include the LS sedan and RX and TX SUVs.
The 12.3-inch instrument-panel display may be blank at vehicle startup, preventing drivers from seeing certain malfunction indicators. If the malfunction occurs while the vehicle is in motion, the risk of a crash is increased.
To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect the combination meter and update its programming or replace it with a new one, as necessary, for free. The automaker will notify owners by mid-November, but those with questions in the meantime can contact Toyota at 800-331-4331, Lexus at 800-255-3987, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
