Love it...BUT

As I was driving my brand new 2020 Rav4 Hybrid limited off the lot my check engine light came on. Turns out it has a catalytic converter issue and needs to be completely replaced. Since its a new car they didn't have the parts on hand...so that means my car will be in the shop for between 1-2 weeks. I am a Toyota loyalist, but this experience has left me a bit concerned about this cars reliability.

Not getting the mileage promised

I just don't understand why I'm not getting the mileage promised on my 2020 Rav4 hybrid. Only 32 around town, using Eco button and not using Eco button, doesn't matter. Certainly not close to the 40 publicized. The most combined mileage I got was 35 on a 400 mile trip with come city driving as well. Very disappointed. Last trip of 300 miles mostly on the interstate, with cruise control set at 68, my mpg was 35, but my ECO score was a lousy 77!! With cruise control still only 77 for my Eco score? Something is just not right here. I turned off Lane Assist because it was dragging me back where it wanted even tho I was well within my lane, but was on a curve on the interstate. This would have been very dangerous if the road had been icy/snowy. I really like my suv, but the seats need more padding, but I love how it drives, has pickup if you need it, but my whole focus was on mileage and it is not living up to the hype. I drive very conservatively, I don't stomp on the gas or stomp on the brakes, I try to crawl from a start up to 20 mph around town, I coast before braking around town, stay mostly in the right hand lane on the interstate and only pass if I have to, I keep the cruise set on 68, I really don't think it's me that is the problem.

Very pleased

After much research , I purchased the 2020 Rav 4 Hybrid. Comfortable, tracks well in the snow, quiet ride, all the safety features, anticipating great fuel economy ( so far 282 miles on a half tank of gas and not even broken in).. purchased from Kolosso Toyota Appleton, WI ( Zach Morrell, Marvin Michel and Dick DeMuth).. honest and forthright made the sale a very positive experience.

Lexus like feel and quality

I came from a 2017 CRV EX-L which is a very good ride. The RAV 4 is a couple steps above it in feel and quality.

Disappointing.fuel mileage

Very disappointing actual fuel mileage on the hybrid. Advertised estimate is 40mpg combined. At 1400 miles were averaging only 30. The biggest selling point FOR ME was the fuel economy and I don’t believe it’s even close.

It handles well.

I enjoy driving it so far. There’s a lot to figure out so I’m just getting used to it, but I like many features about the car, such as the AWD and the safety features

Not my Mercedes but love it almost as much

Sporty looking, actually came with more features than my Mercedes GLC 43. Great gas mileage which is why I wanted a hybrid and takes regular gas not premium and much less costly to maintain than a Mercedes. It's a great value I am not sorry I switched brands except for the quick take off on my old car but it's give and take and I prefer good gas mileage. Love it I get a lot of compliments on how good it looks! Not perfect inside but close, I don't like the position of the door handle it's in an awkward spot and I wish the visor was longer to block the sun...

I'm still under 1000 miles - but so far I love it!

My previous car was a 2013 Prius, which I loved, but the RAV4 has much higher clearance and the added bonus of all wheel drive. With the hybrid engine I can drive an SUV and am still able to get great mileage. I am averaging about 40 mpg.

Gas saver

Great gas mileage. The only problem is the gas sensor. I believed this issue is an ongoing problem that Toyota needs to fix ASAP. Besides that minor problem, it's a great car to drive.
