INEOS

Ineos is a startup vehicle manufacturer that was formed as an offshoot of the multinational Ineos conglomerate. The automotive division was launched in 2017 after Ineos founder Jim Ratcliffe, an avid Land Rover enthusiast, was unable to purchase the rights to the iconic Defender. In response, Ineos set out to create a modernized successor to the Defender, resulting in the Grenadier SUV and its pickup-truck sibling, the Grenadier Quartermaster.
The Grenadier debuted for 2024 and the Grenadier Quartermaster followed soon after. Both are powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine sourced from BMW and feature solid front and rear axles, locking differentials and 10.3 inches of ground clearance. Despite their rugged, no-frills design, both Grenadiers are positioned as luxury vehicles, with pricing that starts around $80,000 for the SUV. They’re engineered for serious off-roading more than on-road comfort, which is part of their appeal for adventure-seeking buyers.
