What Is the 2025 Honda Accord?

The Honda Accord is a five-seat mid-size sedan with refined driving manners and excellent fuel economy in a sleek and understated shape. Standard in the LX and new-for-’25 SE trims is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that sends 192 horsepower to the front wheels via a continuously variable automatic transmission. Higher trims — namely the Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Touring — are fitted with a hybrid powertrain that consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, two electric motors and the CVT.

The hybrid Accord produces 204 hp and accelerates smoothly, with no hesitation or odd transitions between gas and electric power. Most importantly, it returns an EPA-estimated 44 or 48 mpg in combined city and highway driving, depending on trim. Accord rivals include the Hyundai Sonata, Kia K5 and Toyota Camry.

What’s New on the 2025 Honda Accord?

The non-hybrid Accord’s EX trim is discontinued for 2025, with a sportier-looking SE trim taking its place. The SE features black exterior accents and 17-inch black alloy wheels, along with features from the 2024 EX, including heated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, an eight-speaker sound system and a moonroof.

Standard equipment is also upgraded across the lineup. All Accords now feature rear air conditioning vents and two USB-C ports for backseat passengers. All hybrid models now include heated front seats and a wireless phone charger, and the top Touring trim gets a standard heated steering wheel.

What Features in the 2025 Honda Accord Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • 7-inch touchscreen
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Wi-Fi hot spot
  • Four-speaker stereo
  • Automatic climate control
  • Cloth upholstery
  • Keyless entry
  • Push-button start
  • Remote start
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Automatic high-beam headlights
  • Lane-centering steering
  • Lane departure warning

Available features include:

  • 12.3-inch touchscreen
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Wireless charging pad
  • 12-speaker stereo
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Satellite radio
  • Navigation
  • Leather seating
  • Power-adjustable driver’s seat
  • Heated front seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Blind spot warning

Should I Buy the 2025 Honda Accord?

The Honda Accord is a smart choice and a worthy alternative to heavier, less agile and much less fuel-efficient SUVs. Fuel economy with the optional hybrid engine is superb; it’s the powertrain of choice — though the standard turbo-four is perfectly capable, too. Inside, Honda has created a cabin that’s classy and comfortable, with easy-to-reach controls and supportive seats. There are also some negatives, including the small 7-inch standard touchscreen and limited rear headroom for tall adults due to the Accord’s tapering roofline. Other than that, there’s little not to like (or love) about this value-packed sedan.

  • This is the 4th Accord I've owned.

This is the 4th Accord I've owned...and it is the best yet. I purchased the Touring model, which has all the bells and whistles. I was able to get a great deal on this car and have not regretted my decision. My only detraction was on the Comfort Rating. I have to get use to entering and exiting a sedan, which is lower and not as easy as my Honda CR-V, which was my trade-in.

  • The only concern I have is that they removed the buttons

The only concern I have is that they removed the buttons that activate garage doors claiming that the latter may be done by using the iPhones apps. Replacing one button push with multiple app activation and pushing multiple buttons is the WRONG WAY to go. I did not notice that when I traded-in the previous Honda Hybrid. I will check int he future, because this will be a a BUY-NOBUY ISSUE in future. This car is my wife's car. When I replace mine Honda, this will be my first consideration.

  • This review was written after slightly less than 1600

This review was written after slightly less than 1600 miles. The transition between battery and gas power is smooth and all but undetectable, and I love seeing the mpg rise so nicely. I keep it in econ and normal mode (not sport) and the acceleration is fantastic (although my cherished mpg does suffer a touch). The LED headlights are focus to keep incoming drivers from being blinded. The automatic switch between high and low beams has been spot on. The only negative part of my experience would be the driver's seat. It isn't as comfortable as the Accord deserves. It's nice, but I think it could be better. I'm happy with this purchase!

Great car and great mileage. I traded my 2021 Accord Hybrid for the current model on a deal I could not refuse. Regretting nothing. Moved up a trim level also.

  • My last four cars have been Honda Accords.

My last four cars have been Honda Accords. This time I purchased a 2025 Accord Hybrid Touring trim. My previous Honda was a 2013 Accord EX-L V6 w/Nav; I liked it better. It accelerated, it was comfortable but not too big, it was dependable, it had the right amount of high tech features. By contrast the 2025 Hybrid Touring accelerates at a more leisurely pace, is comfortable (with exceptions), is hopefully dependable (we'll find out), and is overly technical in the display and elsewhere. It is bigger than my 2013 Accord (more than mid-size in my view), and that concerns me. Everything in the well-less trunk sloshes around. There are no buttons to push to open garage doors; Honda asks the owner to subscribe for and download an app called MyQ and link it with HondaLink in the display for a software solution. The two apps refuse to link in my car, and I am not about to pay a monthly subscription charge for SaaS when buttons would have been fine. Sure, my MPG have risen from 27 to 45, but who really cares? With the Touring, there is no height adjustment on the front passenger seat, and I am not yet fully comfortable with the lumbar support on the driver's seat. There are two many controls on the steering wheel, dashboard, and display. Simplify, Honda! Simplify, simplify, simplify!
