Honda is recalling nearly 1.7 million vehicles due to an increased risk of a crash from defective parts in the steering gearbox.

The 2024 Honda Civic is again available in sedan and hatchback variants, with both body styles seeing price hikes of $200 throughout most of the trim levels.

An increasing number of vehicles with sticker prices of $40,000 or less, some much less, offer heated mirrors.

The list of model-year 2023-24 cars with manual transmissions skews mostly to affordable models and those that are more enthusiast-oriented, but there’s still a decent range of choices.
