What’s the Best New-Car Deal for Memorial Day 2026?
What Car Shoppers Need to Know
- Toyota, Hyundai and Chevrolet are some of the manufactures offering the biggest incentives in May
- Some of the largest incentives can be found on electric vehicles.
- Other incentives are basically enticing buyers to purchase models leftover.
With the rising costs of both new cars and their monthly payments, many would-be car shoppers are looking for deals anywhere they can find them. The best place a shopper can usually find a deal on the price of a new car is through manufacturer incentives that many automakers use to help sell cars. Many incentives can take thousands off the price of a vehicle, especially if it’s a vehicle that either hasn’t been selling well or a dealer needs to clear out of their inventory.

So we’ve gone and done the legwork of finding which vehicles have the best incentives ahead of Memorial Day weekend. Keep in mind that the incentives here aren’t just listed because they offer the most cash off the vehicle’s price. These are the best deals because they take into account the vehicle’s manufacturer’s suggested retail price plus destination charge; then we calculate what percentage the incentive makes up the vehicle’s price. So most incentives listed here make up more than 15% of the vehicle’s price.
2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6
| Incentive | Starting Vehicle MSRP (With Destination) | Incentive % of MSRP (With Destination) |
| $7,500 | $39,535 | 18.9 |
Hyundai had high hopes for the Ioniq 6 when it debuted for 2023. Its unique style, fast charging and usable range made it appealing. Unfortunately, the one-two punch of tariffs and low sales forced Hyundai’s hand, and the company announced the Ioniq 6 was being discontinued in the U.S. for the 2026 model year (though you’ll still be able to buy a new one when the high-performance Ioniq 6 N hits dealers).
As a result, dealers are still sitting on more than few leftover 2025 models. To help move them, Hyundai is offering buyers a $7,500 cash incentive. That means with the money Hyundai is putting up that incentive is basically 19% of the Ioniq 6’s total starting price. If you’re interested, this deal ends on June 1.

2026 Lincoln Corsair
| Incentive | Starting Vehicle (With Destination) | Incentive % of MSRP (With Destination) |
| $8,000 | $41,480 | 19.2 |
The Corsair may be Lincoln’s smallest model, but it gets a big incentive for 2026 models. Aside from Ford’s employee pricing program, Lincoln is throwing an $8,000 incentive on the hood of every 2026 Corsair. With its starting price of just over $41,000, that incentive makes up over 19% of the Corsair’s starting price.

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9
| Incentive | Starting Vehicle MSRP (With Destination) | Incentive % of MSRP (With Destination) |
| $10,000 | $60,555 | 16.5 |
Hyundai’s three-row Ioniq 9 EV hasn’t exactly set the sales charts on fire since its debut for the 2025 model year. Just over 5,000 were sold in 2025, and so far this year, just over 2,800 have been sold. To get buyers in seats, Hyundai is throwing a pretty sweet deal at customers for the Ioniq 9. Now through June 1, buyers can get $10,000 in bonus cash on all trims of the Ioniq 9. Using the EVs starting price of $60,555, that incentive makes up over 16% of the Ioniq 9’s price.

2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
| Incentive | Starting Vehicle MSRP (With Destination) | Incentive % of MSRP (With Destination) |
| $9,000 | $39,695 | 22.6 |
Given production troubles Ford has been facing with its F-Series pickup trucks, Chevrolet may be trying to poach some of those buyers with enticing incentives for the Silverado 1500. Chevrolet is currently offering buyers an $8,000 cash incentive on 2026 Silverado 1500 models. In one of the biggest incentives we’ve seen, that $9,000 cash makes up just over 22% of the Silverado’s starting price.

2025, 2026 Toyota Mirai
| Incentive | Starting Vehicle MSRP (With Destination) | Incentive % of MSRP (With Destination) |
| $35,000 | $53,090 | 65.9 |
Hydrogen powered vehicles haven’t exactly taken off, mostly due to a fueling infrastructure that’s not existent. Despite dismal sales — Toyota sold just 15 Mirai sedans the first quarter of this year — Toyota is still invested in the Mirai. How invested you may ask? Try to the tune of $35,000. That’s the cash incentive Toyota is offering to buyers for its hydrogen powered sedan.
Making this deal even twitter is the fact that buyers can get 0% APR financing for 72 months with this $35,000 incentive. This incentive is in addition to a 10-year/150,000-mile warranty for the fuel-cell system’s battery. The Mirai is only sold in California, and there are less than 20 operational hydrogen refueling stations in the state at the time of publishing.
