Affected Jaguars include:
The DC-DC converter in these mild-hybrid vehicles may fail due to an internal fault in the boost control microchip and result in a loss of the 12-volt system charging, which could lead to a loss of drive power and exterior lighting. A loss of driver power increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy for the issue is currently under development. Interim letters notifying owners of the risk are expected to be mailed June 12; additional letters will be sent once a fix is available. Those with further questions can contact JLR at 800-637-6837 (its numbers for this recall are D126 and H575), call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more. This recall expands and replaces previous NHTSA recall number 24V840.
