Mercedes-Benz is recalling more than 144,000 vehicles over an issue that may cause the instrument panel display to go blank.

Affected vehicles include certain model-year 2024-26 AMG GT, C-Class, E-Class, SL, CLE, and GLC vehicles. The issue is with the infotainment control unit, which may reset while the vehicle is in motion, causing the instrument panel display to go blank. As a result, drivers will be unable to view important safety information like the speedometer and warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash.

To resolve the issue, dealers will update the infotainment control unit for free. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 26, but those who have further questions may contact Mercedes-Benz at 800-367-6372, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
