Great seats and visibility are important and Volvo gives that in spades and the grandkids love the heated rear seats. Repairs can be pricey though.

2007 Volvo V70 review
I purchased my 3rd Volvo V-70R brand new in 2007 with all the bells and whistles because I always wanted one and this was the last year they made them. I absolutely love the car! I have had all the normal services performed as recommended by the owners manual ie oil change, filter, spring seats, timing belt etc and the car has not given me a single problem after 125K miles other than a burnt out headlight. I am a spirited 45 year old driver but also use my Volvo for light hauling using the roof rails ie up to 6 sheets of drywall, lumber, Tule and more. The car does have a low stance and a wide footprint so maneuvering in tight spaces takes some learning however on the hwy the car comes alive. I need only breath on the gas to pass people and the ride is firm but comfortable. I typically use the Sport setting for a nice balance in the ride. The car is now 9 years old and looks virtually brand new and still provides lots of performance and bells and whistles that aren't even offered in some of the best luxury cars of today. I get compliments on it all the time. As for safety. I completely feel like the big Brembo brakes have saved me more than a couple of times and the AWD has been flawless in bad road conditions. I think good servicing of the car has definitely aided in its longevity.. I plan to keep this one for life.

1999 Volvo V70 review
I have PTSD from a van accident, and this car hugs the road, feels safe, and that is so important. It's a tank. The steel safety cage and winter traction transmission option allow me to feel safe and roll out.

2009 Volvo V70 review
This is a well engineered and well thought out vehicle that makes driving a wagon fun. It is quiet and handles well. Many of the standard features from 2009 are just making their way to American cars. I am tall and fit into the front seats nicely. The quality of the vehicle is evident when you sit in it, drive it, or even open and close the doors.

2004 Volvo V70 review
I brought my 2002 v70 T5 back in 2012 for only 2k with 120,000 in the clock. I still have the now with 240,000 on the clock. The only thing I have had to fork out in is the new pencil coil packs, other than that all I do is give it a service once a year. It has been a good trusty car. Plus the power is great!

AMAZING SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!! I start off with those three words so even if you don't read this whole review you get the point. We were traveling through Augusta GA after evacuating from hurricane Ida that had just devastated the New Orleans area. All warning lights popped up on the dash of my 2016 VW Jetta SEL and the vehicle went in to limp mode. Zero power over 35mph. On top of the destruction of hurricane Ida back home in New Orleans now I have a car that just basically gave up on me. The already pit in my stomach became even larger and only the worst case scenarios were going through my head now. A Google search leads me to the amazing team at Gerald Jones Volkswagen and the magic begins. Expecting at least a two or three day hotel stay in Augusta my service advisor Charles Davis takes me in to his service drive and assures me that everything will be alright and immediately puts one of his top techs named Mr. Chris on the case. Turns out it was as simple as a wheel speed sensor that the parts specialist Candace Betsch had sitting on the shelf in the parts department. While waiting on my vehicle to be repaired and strolling through the new car showroom I was greeted by the nicest young lady by the name of Vickie McPhee who introduced herself as the General Manager and was just as sweet as could be making sure that I was doing okay with a true concern about our safety during this hurricane evacuation. She even went as far as to introduce me to one of the owners Mr. David Jones and we had a great conversation as well. Next thing I know my service advisor Charles was standing next to me telling me that the speed sensor had already been replaced and my vehicle after being washed and run through quality control was ready to go. This my friends is one heck of a car dealership that has employed a team of people that truly care about their customers no matter where they are from or what dealership the vehicle was purchased. 2008 Volvo V70 review
Love my wagon. Could have a slightly peppier engine, which is the only thing I might change. Reliable, safe, comfortable, with plenty of room without being so big that it would be awkward.

2010 Volvo V70 review
Our V70 is an R Design that is as pleasing to drive as it is to look at. We get many compliments on the interior finishes and exterior lines. I was concerned about the lack of turbo, but the 3.2 6 cylinder engine is a great performer in the city and on the highway. The car corners like a sports car.

2007 Volvo V70 review
I purchased this vehicle used under Volvo's certified pre-owned program ("CPO"). It is the second time that I've done so. My 2007 2.5T V70 (wagon) has been incredibly reliable over the 8 years that I have owned it. I can't say enough good things about this car. I hope to drive it for years to come, especially given that Volvo no longer makes the V70 the way that it did in 2007. Even the sales and service folks at my dealership say to keep it, 'cause that don't make 'em like this anymore.' The vehicle has amazing handling, pick-up, curving ability, gets great gas mileage and and the weight of the vehicle makes me feel very safe. The only features that I'd like to have but don't are bluetooth, back-up camera and blind-spot indicators. Other than that, you can keep the newer Volvos! I am a Volvo "lifer" for sure.

2006 Volvo V70 review
Drove the car during extreme west Michigan winters. I now drive the hills of West Virginia. She has 285,000 miles on her. One small rust spot on the driver door. Interior and engine are clean. I have the oil changed every 5,000- 7,000 miles, tires rotated, and am back to using premium gas. Parts can be expensive, but have been fortunate with mechanics that have been honest in telling me what needs to be done and what can wait to be done. So glad my youngest son chose to take the other car off to college.

1999 Volvo V70 review
I inherited this Volvo from my mother, the proverbial little old lady who only drove it around town. At 23 years old, it has 103,000 miles. Super reliable and solidly built. Unfortunately, it recently developed a glitch in the driver's door handle which prevents the interior light from turning off when the door is closed, so it ends up draining the battery. Electrical issues are expensive to repair, but in my opinion, this car is well worth the investment. I wouldn't get rid of it for anything!

1998 Volvo V70 review
Have the AWD model with the 2.4 turbo, there is no rust on this car now 23 years old, everything still works 179,00 miles. 1998 has side airbags, heated seats, heated mirrors, a beast in the snow. This is the last year Swedish owned, will keep until it dies.

2007 Volvo V70 review
I have own this V70 2,5 t Classic Geartronic for 3 Years now. It is my 13’th Volvo sinne 1986 and the best one. Nice styling, one of the best seats on the planet, powerful and reliable engine and the body withour rust. No matter, how much gears you have with you. And great enjoyable easygoing quiet ride. Perfect Swedish engineering. And A lot of car for 6000€. I have now over 300 000 km on the clock. The only negative thing was This German made leaking Zf- power steering rod. By the way, it is possible to get renewed one from Lenkungspezialist from Germany only 270€! Better than replacement part, which cost ovet 600€.

The Volvo wagons I have owned have been the best built vehicles I have ever seen.Sorry MB,Audi,BMW.I love German cars,but they have more small bugs than any Volvo I?ve owned.My current 2006 V70r is one of the fastest,most comfortable,well built cars ever.300hp 300ft.lbs torque all wheel drive,6 speed auto.All with a 2.5 litre engine.Volvo seats are the absolute best in the industry.Super comfort and support.The car handles great,despite some critics opinion,and has huge Brembo brakes that will stop you like you can?t believe.I tow a small trailer,commute with it,and explore it?s limits one some of the nice highways near by.I now have 226,000 k on it,just broken in nicely.I will park it and do some maintenance this winter.New struts all around for the active suspension,also works well.These cars just don?t seem to break down.As long as you Maintain them.I had a old 740 turbo wagon for 8 years.The car had 325000 k on it when some xxxxx plowed into me and I had to retire it.Both cars were totaled and I walked away unhurt.It also never broke down.Ever.I call Volvo?s the Toyota?s of European cars,but a lot more comfortable.

2005 Volvo V70 review
Great car that is totally practical but fun to drive. 6 Speed Manual transmission is amazing. Turbo kicks into gear and you really feel the 300 HP. Have taken on serious sports cars such as Porsche Boxter and have beaten them on the turns....with appropriate tires of course. I recommend Pirelli or Goodyear Eagles for performance. Standard low profile or even all weather tires are still terrific for the car although I would not push as hard in competition. The volvo has 3 stability settings, comfort, sport and performance. Each instantly responds. Of course with this car you can fit 5 and have room for luggage and skis. One negative is the turning radius due to the four wheel drive. Car performs well in all terrain and weather. Seat heaters, premium sound. Blue leather interior. Highly recommended.
