First Hybrid & Toyota
I acquired my Prius because I am in a pilot at work & this is a work owned car. I would consider purchasing this car if need be. However, there are some basic issues I have. There is no compass. If I am driving for more than an hour, the seat becomes very uncomfortable because of the lack of lumbar support. The back seat has a decent amount of leg room but the seats are uncomfortable - I think because there is no lumbar support & the head rest push your head forward. I am surprised at the amount of pick up is has and it is not at all bashful if I have to pass someone or pull out quickly. It took a few weeks to get the hang of the gas pedal so I can get the best MPG. I am presently getting between 48-52 in the city. I am still not used to the low front end only because it's hard to see how far you are in a parking space, garage, etc. The storage spaces are sufficient & cup holders are deep. The standard back-up camera is a nice safety feature along w/ the "beep". All in all it's a nice car.

I was skeptical but it blew me away
I took a gamble buying a 2007 Toyota Prius and it is a winner! I drive 47 miles each way to work in the Pittsburgh area. I am getting 56-57 MPG every day now. It is mostly highway driving with some lights in the beginning and end. My previous vehicle was getting 21-22 MPG on the same trip. I am saving almost $200 a month in gasoline. I have learned many things about driving the vehicle efficiently. Search the web and you can get all sorts of pointers.

Most Fun and Most Economical Car I've Ever Owned
Granted, I've only had my 2007 Prius for 2+ months, but so far I love it. Most of my driving is stop and go, with maybe 10% highway, and I'm averaging 43 mpg. In my 2007 Civic I was getting only 25 mpg. I know that if I were doing more hwy driving I would be well above the 50 mph mark. But also, this is just a fun car, with lots of great features that you might expect on a much more expensive automobile.

Lived up to expectations
I was very pleased when I first test drove the "07 Prius. It's alot bigger than what it was. I have 3 kids, and there's enough room in the back, and one is still in a booster seat. I'm averaging about 46-47 MPG, which is about what I expected. But, in stop and go traffic on the way back from Disneyland, we really were getting over 61 MPG. Smooth and quiet, I couldn't be more pleased.

Fantastic car
I love everything about this car. Car handles well. The milage is exactly as advertised (although I do drive 25 miles a day to work). The bells and whistles are great. I really like the computerized interface. I think it is intuitive and fun!

NO compromises whatsoever.
My family, the five of us, is VERY satisfied with the Toyota Prius. Toyota?s unique differential power train technology is far superior to any other manufacturer?s hybrid approach. Fully loaded, (the five of us, three teenagers and two adults,) with a full cooler (lunch, ice and drinks) and we invariably get fifty (50) MPG traveling around southern New England. That?s right, and we have plenty of inside room to tour comfortably. As regards performance, as I said in the title there are NO compromises whatsoever. Cruse control settings are maintained even on long, curved upgrades. The vehicle now has over 2,000 miles (we bought it new) and I?ve NEVER been disappointed in its performance. I was not a ?green? before I bought the Prius, but I now look at other cars from another perspective. Five (5) stars from me.

Love the Mileage
I gave up my Dodge Ram two months ago to get something with better gas mileage. I went from 16 to 48 mpg. Nowhere near the 62 mpg that is on the sticker, but a huge improvement. I love the Prius. There are only a few problems, in my opinion. First, a tall person may have problems. I am 5'10" and have the driver's seat pushed all the way back. It's fine for me, but check it out if you are much taller. Second, don't expect much power. It is sufficient, but that's about it. When I drive my wife's minivan, I can tell a huge difference. Even with those concerns, I am extremely glad I bought the Prius. I was surprised when I was able to put my three kids comfortably in the backseat. When they get to be teenagers it may be more difficult to fit them in, though. My kids love the audio controls on the touch screen. I love being able to watch my fuel mileage graphed in five-minute intervals. The drive is smooth and quiet. I would definitely buy this car again.

One of the "funnest" cars I've driven
I test drove this vehicle for about an hour and although it took a while to get used to (stopping, handling, typical new car things), I fell in love with it! My fiance drove it and now he wants one too! The gas mileage is unbelievable (especially since prices are over $3 now), the quietness and smoothness of the ride is outstanding. I cannot wait to finally own this car.

359 miles and Door Lock broke
Bought it Friday night, writing Monday after noon... love the car and the awesome bells and whistles and features (especially the rearview screen!) But I've already had to visit the dealer who now has to order new door lock motor for driver side rear. Haven't even got through the first tank of gas yet! Maybe others have done more research and already knew this but I didn't so let me tell you right now... 39.9 mpg with "regular" driving habits. I'm certain it can get more. But we drive like we drive and get what we get. I am making a huge payment on a car that I paid almost $2,750 in gap insurance and extended waranty for which I had justified by anticipating getting over 50 MPG per window sticker. Turns out the EPA rating is crazy useless numbers. Fault of the EPA more so than the vehicle. Now you've learned from my ignorance and subsequent experience regarding MPG expectations.
