4th 4Runner I've Owned

I'm on my 4th 4Runner in 20 years because I love the style, reliability and because the 2nd one I owned saved my life when I was hit on the freeway and rolled 4 times.

More improvements needed.

I bought the 4Runner because of reliability but wanted simple options that most vehicles come with standard, which I couldn?t get unless I bought the Limited model. Even then, still no remote start, no other model has push button start other than Limited. Wheels could be a little wider for better handling for sure. Feels like it?s going to tip over sometimes with a cross wind. 3rd row seating is definitely only for kids. Rubber inserts in cup holders are worthless. They literally have to be glued down so it doesn?t come off stuck to your cup. Navigation is pointless and the screen could definitely use an update from the early 2000s look. It?s definitely a hog and totally not good on gas mileage. If you get on the gas too much, you can smell your catalytic converters cause it smells like raw eggs. Halogen headlights and fog lights are a joke. Way too much chrome on the limited model. Only good thing it has going for it is the reliability can?t be beaten, sound system is pretty amazing, and it will hold its value better than anything else on the road. I?m selling mine to buy a truck though, since the 4Runner doesn?t really have much of a towing capacity either.

Most efficient and reliable car I've owned

It is a great vehicle, as an SUV it has great gas mileage. This was a purchase I'd always wanted and really happy with the result.

Long term satisfaction

I love cars and working on cars but hate worrying if they will break down. Toyota has always been one of my top choices and the 2016 4Runner is no exception. It has all of the features I need and I know I will still be driving it well past 200k miles.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT

I wanted this car for sooo many years but due to them holding their value and the price was not able to get one until now. It was so much worth the wait and everything that I hoped it would be. I have the limited edition and am love it. It is the best car that I have ever owned!!

Luxury, reliability and bold looks.

This SUV has it all. I bought the 2016 4Runner Limited with all the bells and whistles; leather seats, moon roof, 4wd, heated and cooled seats, but no 3rd row. Drives like a luxury SUV, comfortable seats and lots of storage in the back. I've had the car a year now and I'm honestly averaging 19.6 mpg driving 50/50 on highways and streets. Haven't used the 4wd yet, but plan to take it up to Utah or Colorado next ski season. It has the bigger tires (standard on the Limited) and looks striking standing still.

nice ride

This truck has a nice and comfortable ride--heated/cooled seats, third row seating,box-like design and feel interior and exterior (unlike smaller SUV's which are just like compact cars), moonroof, can seat 7, good resale value.

I love everything about it!!! It ride super great

It rides really good! It is in excellent shape, very reliable. I traded in a 2015 nissian murano which was in excellent shape, but this 4 runner is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned.
