Great family truck
It?s got everything we need used every day to get the kids where they need to be. Looking forward to seeing how it does in the snow.

Very good off-road vehicle
Good style, good power, and a quiet ride. They are 2 things I didn't like about the 4Runner. Number one, in 4 wheel drive it turns jerky like the pickups of old. It needs to have a auto mode like my GMC pickup. Second, it only gets 17 mpg at most and that is unreasonable. I never had a minutes trouble with it in the 4 years and 75,000 miles I owned it. If gas milage is not a factor, then get yourself one and enjoy!

Dependable for hundreds of thousands of miles...
We just purchased our 3rd Toyota. The 4 Runner was selected because it uniquely satisfies all of our needs...family car and strong tow vehicle. It has excellent technology and styling while coming in strong as a ?work horse? sitting on. Tacoma chassis.

4Runner SR5
We got our 4Runner back in Oct 2017, right after our son was born. We were looking for a family car because the one I had (2014 Ford Edge) wasn?t big enough for a family like we thought it would when we bought it in 2015. I love the 4Runner because it?s not too much of a mom car but it?s stoll an awesome family car!! Rides smoothly & it doesn?t get bad gas mileage for it being an SUV. We love it!!

Dying breed
Limited 4WD , this was a great vehicle it was my wife?s car , our family grew and she opted for a Sienna . We put about 45k miles in it in three years. I love the looks of the 4ruuner , this trim was well equipped , the rear windshield window feature is pretty cool . We did some off-roading in it and got stuck in Mud but had street biased tires . This vehicle was solid with virtually no Rattles after 45k miles . On road comfort was good , rear seat room was a little on the cramped side for three child seats across in the back seat . Trunk space was perfect for lauggage for a family of five.

4 years old and doors don?t work
Bought the 4Runner new 4 years ago. Love the design of the car and the size is great. Unfortunately, the locks on the doors have stopped working on both the driver and passenger side. A key is required to enter on driver side and you have to reach over to then let a passenger in. The passenger lock has to be manually used on that side to lock the car. The fix was quoted at $800 per door. The driver side stopped working at the 3 year mark and the passenger side stopped at 3.5 years (both just out of warranty). This should not be an issue for a newer vehicle. In addition the central console occasionally freezes (once per trip) and has to be restarted. I?ve done some research and it seems like the door issue is fairly common with this model so I would not recommend the vehicle.

Best SUV!!
I love the Toyota 4Runner! The body style and exterior are amazing and the interior along with all the bells and whistles that came with the Limited have me spoiled! Smooth ride, great gas mileage with the Eco, you can't beat it!

Wonderful SUV
I think the 4runner is a fantastically engineered vehicle. The only drawback is the gas mileage. If Toyota honestly cared about their consumer, as much ad they claim to, they would bring their diesel line to America. The overseas version of the 4Runner, the "Surf", gets 22-25mpg in town and 25-30 on the highway. And to be honest, there's no reason why they shouldn't have a hybrid line for their trucks/SUV's.
