I purchased a 2022 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk that was

I purchased a 2022 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk that was lightly used and very well maintained at the end of 2024. I also took great care of this vehicle, and followed all recommended service requirements. Only 13 months after I purchased this vehicle, the PTU (transfer case) in the drivetrain failed without warning while I was driving the speed limit on I 90 west in Montana. Luckily, it was not busy on this day and I was able to safely bring the car to the side of the road and had cell service to call for help. There were less than 40k miles on the vehicle. This failure was terrifying, I feel lucky to be alive, I could only imagine what horrific accident this mechanical failure could have caused if I had been in any other scenario. To make matters worse, I was unable to get the vehicle repaired in a reasonable amount of time, as this component is on extended back order. I ended up having to sell it for less than what I owed on it and purchase a new vehicle. I am disturbed that this is a known problem and failure point (so much so that it is on indefinite back order), but continues to be manufactured into several Jeep/Stellantis models. I am also disturbed that the part that failed gave no warning prior to failure, rendering my car undrivable, and could've led to my own and my fiancee's deaths if I hadn't responded quickly, and been in an ideal driving situation. Upon having this experience, I know see just how many deaths this has caused and how many lawsuits there are currently for this issue. I will never buy a Jeep or Stellantis manufactured vehicle again, and will make sure I tell everyone I know they shouldn't either. I reported this failure to the NHSA, and I encourage every other owner to do the same. We need to get this recalled before more people die.

Still A Jeep Girl...BUT

I love my Cherokee overall. This is my 3rd one. Sadly I've noticed the quality slipping. Jeep no longer provides a spare tire - WHAT? The floor mats are now of lesser quality and no longer have the Jeep emblem embroidered on them. The transmission is still a little iffy but not as bad as my '15. The tail lights fill with condensation but the dealership tells me it is normal to do so - WHAT? Additionally you're never gonna be able to find a V6 anymore. I had to go down a year to a '22 in order to get one. They are pushing EVs and Hybrids. All this being said I'm still Jeep girl and still love my Cherokee.

New car making noise when press brake on reverse

I do have 1 complaints about my brake issue, when reverse it making da da noise, even forward when press brake down to 5mph, also making da noise, dealership told me is software issue wait for few month for software update to solve the issue, so I still waiting to see if it can be fix, but it is annoying with that noise especially is a new car, can not accept that . Will keep it update see if they fix it or is a lemon car before I call dvm to file complaint.

Power to Spare

Go with the 3.2 V 6 it has plenty of power. The Auto engine stop/start is terrible even if it does save gas it is too jerky

First Jeep

Ordered new , love it so far , I went with the 2.0 turbo , far more responsive than expected , this coming from a life long V-8 driver . Went with the Lattude Lux model , came with many standard feature & we added everything else on the option list , the sun & sound package with the panoramic sunroof and this premium Alpine sound system is awesome . Just wish they would offer more interior colors , had money added in the deal so we could install a differnet color Katzkin leather interior

Great power and comfortable interior

Purchased about 2 months ago. I have taken it on highway trips and driven around town. Very comfortable ride and it looks great. V6 engine is very responsive. I am averaging about 31 mpg so far and am pleasantly surprised by this. Only wish it had a bit more cargo space making it easier to get our 2 bikes inside without having to take the front wheels off. Also, chip shortage cause rear park sensors to be left off of this build. Overall very pleased

Disappointed, on the space, and technology:

If it’s just for two it’s good. More then two not good. There’s no leg space in the back seat; it has no compatibly to Uconnect, which should be able to connect to your phone give you information that you would need in your hands. No SOS button.
