Excellent car based SUV that looks like a truck
Great vehicle. Drives smooth like a car, but has plenty of room for 8 people and can lay the back seat down and haul stuff with a cargo mat installed to protect the interior. Looks masculine - plenty of room shoulder/head. Very affordable compared to competitors.

meets expectations
After three years in a VW EOS it's great to be back in a car I am comforatable with. Great interior once you understand what all the buttons are about and one of the best nav systems I have used. Gas milage is very good for the car size and the eco indicator makes it easier to be aware of your driving habits. This is my first Honda and so far very pleased.

Best SUV I've ever owned.
The ride is very comfortable and it has an extremely large interior.I wish the mileage was slightly better.

Ok but...little extras for the money.
This is our first Honda. I've always heard that Honda people love their cars. We have had it for 6 months and not really impressed. The LX does not even have a temperature gauge! It does not even have the nice features a much less expensive vehicle would have. Drives like a truck, bulky and heavy and the gas milage is terrible. Wife likes it ok, I would have bought something different. Glad she drives it and not me.

Research Pays Off!
First new car purchase ever. Researched like crazy mid-size suvs. For the money and what you get (for me the EX-L), the Pilot was the most prudent decision. Standard features for this trim were slightly better than others we test drove. True, the body-style and interior will not win a beauty contest, but we were reaching for function over fashion. The vehicle handles incredibly well; bought it and drove it the weekend of the Eastcoast blizzard of 2009. Seats 8 (perhaps 6 adults comfortably). Handles like a truck with a bow-tie and possess a maniacal resale value. You know you made the right decision when you look for reasons, excuses, and objectives to drive a vehicle, regardless of the gas mileage.

Pilot LX
Got Pilot 4WD LX below invoice. Good deal, but getting real MPG 12-13 mpg city and 17-18 HWY (advertized 16/21) with very modest driving. Underpowered (slow acceleration) takes forever to stop (long braking distance). Interior plastic hard and cheap. Dashboard controls confusing and needs to take eyes from the road to find buttons. Cargo area floor is not horizontal, cargo tends to slip and accumulate at lowest edge (near door). Do not buy.

Pilot Touring - Great SUV
I have never owned an SUV or in fact a foreign car of any type. I have had my pilot for a month now and absolutely love it. I love all the features of the touring model. It takes a few days to know them all but once you learn them it would be hard to do without. Gas mileage is OK but for an 8 passinger vehicle you expect average. Seats are very confortable and I love the navigation system. I have a garmin for my other car and for my work vehicle but this system in the pilot is better. The backup camera really comes in handy as well as the sensors. I recommend this SUV to everyone who wants a stylish yet functional vehicle that seats eight. GREAT SUV!

Great SUV
I have had the car only 5 days. Drives smooth and controlled at highway speeds. Gas consumption is pretty good for an SUV. While on the interstate I average about 20mpg. Love the 3 zone A/C. The third row is very roomy for an average size adult. Great SUV, however wish my EX-L came with Bluetooth and memory seat. Love the chunky exterior as well as the roomy interior. After a 3 hour road trip, all 4 passengers agreed the rear seats are pretty comfortable, even though you sit rather straight up in the in rear seats. The back-up camera comes in handy when backing out of tight spaces. This is my first Honda and hope it lives up to their reliabilty expectations.

Honda, still the best!
Have had the car for a week and love it. Getting a Honda means reliability which means a lot to me. The features are easy to learn. Compared to the Acadia, you get more for less money. This is the perfect automobile for our family.

Excellent SUV Crossover?
This bulky Honda Pilot might make you think, gas drinker. But it actually produces a decent 17mpg, If my memory is accurate, and 23-24 for the highway. I highly recommend the Pilot for anyone who always has a lot of cargo to drag around, particularity on a vacation. :)
