The Noise is Deafening
I love the Honda Pilot, but the interior noise when driving above 45 mph is terrible. Please Honda, fix this problem before you turn a winner into a loser.

Pretty darn great for an 8 passenger
We've owned six Hondas over the past 20 years and have been pretty pleased with all of them. This is a lightly used 2010 Honda Pilot LX, bought to replace our heavily driven 2004 Pilot EX. Much has been said about how dull the exterior design is, etc., and I'll agree that the 2009 redesign isn't exactly innovative, but it sure isn't more glaringly boring than any of the other SUVs that look pretty much exactly like it. Folks have also picked on the interior as cheap feeling and again I have to disagree. I've owned far more expensive american made cars that felt way more cheesy than this car does. My only beef is that the cloth seats get water stains really really really easily, a problem we never had with previous cloth seats on previous Hondas. Either don't let the kids sit down in wet suits, or spring for the leather seats. Gas mileage has averaged a pretty impressive 20 MPG real world. This may not seem earth shattering to you, but for a true 8 passenger vehicle I think it's amazing. And much better than the 17 average we were getting with our old Pilot. This is real world mileage driven over mountainous terrain in the 4WD model, no stripped down 2WD footnoted stuff here. There are some gotchas with the LX model versus EX-L etc.: All the Pilots come with a receiver hitch, none but the Touring model come with the wiring harness preinstalled however. The LX model doesn't come with a roof rack, the EX-L only comes with the rails not the bars. But all of these are fairly low price point accessories and easily obtained for less than dealer prices from a third party. The ride is very nice, the climate controls are very nice, the maintenance reminder system is great for helping you stay on top of not only oil changes but tire rotations, filters, etc. I'm not a big fan of tire pressure monitoring systems because it makes having a separate set of snows difficult, and requiring visits to dealer service for trivial stuff, but it's there and it appears to work. All in all we've been very pleased with the first 7 thousand miles we've driven this car.

Great truck
This has been my 4th Honda vehicle and they have been very reliable cars. I am thrilled with my 2010 Honda Pilot Touring. After researching the Acura MDX, I decided to go with the Pilot. I bought it certified with 23K on it. It runs strong. The cabin space is big enough and comfortable. The exterior is what I like the most because to me it looks sort of a sporty SUV. The MPG is good considering we are talking about a V-6 heavy truck. To be a Honda it has a all bells and whistles that for other manufacturers such as BMW or Audi you would pay double. I mean, Navigation, DVD, rear camera, parking sensors, Bluetooth, double a/c unit, etc... That's all I need. I have no complaints so far. If you want luxury, then get a BMW or Mercedes Benz. But seriously, I feel my Pilot is worth it.

Best vehicle I've ever bought
I've bought 18 new cars and this is the best I've ever owned (13 mos). I debated whether to wait for the 2011 Explorer--glad I didn't. Love the vehicle. Live in high mtns and 4x4 is great in snow. Hauls tons of people. I've sat in third row and it is wonderful. Gas mileage in Colorado all around driving is 20-21 mpg--way better than the new 2011 Explorer. I love the boxy styling. More room that way. This is the 4th Honda for us and it is the best of them all. Love that this is a TRUCK--not a narrow rear windowed crossover. Bought through USAA pricing and it was a steal for what it has on it. Not the Touring version--don't need navigation or a rear DVD viewer. The model just under it has everything I've ever wanted in an SUV plus great mileage and hauling capability.

Just Another One on The Rooad
Well I am pleased with all Honda products, this being my 7 th Honda, since I have been driving. This vehicle is far superior than the truck that I replaced. The wife has been asking for one since their inception, but with the new design she was sold. This Truck drives flawlessley in the snow, so much that you cannot have any fun in it like the older cars of yesteryear. The room in it is vast, I just wish that Honda would put a bit more into their lower models. If you want one with some upgrades, that's exactly what you have to do is spend more for it. Overall a great vehicle for anything you can throw at it.

Happy with my Choice
We bought our 2010 Honda Pilot Touring used with 10,000 miles on it. We spent months comparing the Pilot to the Volvo XC90 but looking back, I don't know why we wasted all that time. The Pilot Touring has everything we want - DVD, Nav, Park Assist, XM Radio, Auto seats, power liftgate. It is very roomy and comfortable - so much space in the center console and passenger side. And all that for a price less than the base model of the Volvo. So far we are thrilled with our purchase.

Exactly what I expect from Honda
We have only owned our Pilot for a few months now, but it has been great. We love the new design and extra cargo space.

Yet another example of an excellent Honda
With more and more SUVs hitting the market, it always pays to check them all out. I looked at the Toyota Highlander and RAV4, Nissan Xterra and Pathfinder, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Honda CR-V and Pilot. Of all these SUVs the Pilot offered everything I needed and wanted. The Touring model even had features I could have done without but liked very much (power liftgate, 2nd row sunshades, USB, full tow package, etc). The option packages (included in the various models) avoid the hassle of picking and choosing, and for the most part are arranged nicely. Exterior styling is greatly improved. While I would have liked more power, the Pilot has enough to suit my needs. Handling is as expected for an SUV. Gas milage is decent. The interior is huge and functional. Glad I got rid of my Mazda Tribute. 1 month into ownership and no buyers remorse what-so-ever.

It's a Honda. Enough said!!!
I've had my truck for several months now and I couldn't be happier about my decision to get the new Pilot. Its haas been a dream to own this truck. It gas given me absolutely no problems what so ever. The truck is solid, reliable, handles great and looks good. If there was something I'd ask for in this truck is more horse power like the Acura MDX, but that's pretty much it. Love the truck. Go get one and you'll be pleased, I promise. 2010 Honda Pilot Touring
