Can't Go Wrong with a Honda

The 2006 Pilot is a dream to drive! Very comfortable and supportive seats, controls where they belong, and the simplicity you'd expect from Honda. Nothing confusing to the driver or passengers. I purchased the EX-L with the RES (Rear Entertainment System). The kids absolutely love the fact that they can listen to XM Radio through the RES, while I'm listening to the AM/FM or a CD. My only complaint is a small one, however, the driver's seat could stand to move back another 2 inches or so. Honda, please enlarge the wheelbase to 110" and you'll solve that problem.

New 2006 Pilot owner

The 2006 Pilot is a definite thumbs up for Honda; well built, sound and comfortable to drive. the 4wd version is slightly worse on gas mileage than the 2wd but when you need to step on the gas you will move in a hurry with its V-6. The surpising thing is the sound from when you stomp on the gas from a red light; i actually thought at first it was the idiot next to me with a crazy exhast system; but NO it was my own engine reving; but overall the Pilot is an exceptional vehicle that i would reccomend to anyone wanting a larger SUV. If you have or now of the CR-V; it's practically the same EXACT thing, just a little bigger with 2 more Cylinders and one more bench seat and a bunch more room.

Excellent Vehicle to Replace Minivan

Drove first 3K on our 2006 Pilot LX 4WD, Got between 18 to 25 MPG on Local/Highway to highway miles on our first long distance trip. Runs solid as expected. Felt some road noise, suspension makes some noise when 5 passangers in vehicle, Heard clunk noise from underneath sometimes, may be common during breaking in period.
