Absolutely stoked I went with the Accord!

I have been a truck guy for a LONG time. I had a Chevy Silverado before getting my Accord, and had the transmission on it go out with only 40,000 miles on it. I decided that, even though the tranny was replaced under warranty, I was going to get something a bit more economical for my trips to work, and hopefully a bit more reliable to boot. I did a lot of research, and not one review had anything substantially negative to say about the Accord. Not so much with most of its competitors. So, I went to a local dealer and test drove a new 2010 Accord. They had 2011's, but I've always known that if a dealer had a previous year on the lot, you can get a really good deal. Boy did I! I don't know what vehicle some of the other reviewers have, because mine is quiet (well, at least compared to the full sized truck I had), even up to 75 MPH. The seats are as comfortable or more so than my Silverado's were, and I am getting phenomenal gas mileage. The first time I filled the gas tank up, I put in 16.2 gallons, and had been able to get 370 miles out of it! Just about 23 MPG, and I do 90% city driving, with an uphill drive on the way home! Suffice to say, the EX-L model is exactly what I was hoping for. Fuel efficient, comfortable, great sound system, a moon roof, fun performance, good pickup, and it looks pretty sharp as well! Out of all of the other options I had looked at, this was the car that I really felt was the best car for the money, and then some! If you are in the market for this size/type car, you would be doing yourself a favor to check the EX-L out first!

So far, so good.

Initially, a new car should be great. Six months into my ownership of my 2010 Accord Coupe V6, at 13,000 miles, here's what Ive observed. *Fast *Road performance in Ohio winters is very decent *Interior design is logically arranged *Looks great *VERY decent stereo system (270 watts and 7 speakers) Not every ownership experience is flawless though. Here is also what ive also observed: *Rattle noise from rear passenger seat belt trim piece (between rear window and air bag trim piece) Dealership padded and problem went away. (warranty) *Trim piece for carpet threshold on drivers side door slightly warped, replaced under warranty *Miscelaneious rattles that come and go with bass being played in the car primarily by sunglass holder and occasionally by rear dome light. (its minor and im picky, but for $30,000, you want some sound deadening, right?) Overall, I would purchase this vehicle again. Im comfortable in a Honda, it holds its resale value and handles in a sport like manner with a slightly stiff suspension.

Go for the Accord

Probably the best bang for your buck if you are looking for a reliable, economical, roomy, well equipped, yet still flashy sedan, you cannot go wrong with the 2010 Accord. I have the EX model (leather / sunroof / power Driver seat) and could not be happier. My last 3 hondas (1 Civic + 2 Accords) I have sold them for more than I owed. Thumbs up for sure. Thanks Mo + Sammy for a great buying experience in Tulsa.

Overrated

I had a 2005 Accord before. This was an excellent car. The 2010 accord is so much worse! The 2010 is: NOISY, very hard suspension, noisy on bumps, weak, really weak. When you start the car in a cold weather, it literally sounds like a tracktor inside. After the engine is warm, it gets a little better. So far I have 12k miles on it. During this time, brakes went, the internal blower broke, and a front wheel bearing became very noisy. The dealer fixed all, but the internal blower got very noisy just a month later. I really thik that the quality of Honda is dropping and dropping fast. The gas millage is also not impressive. I do 70% highway and I get about 25mpg. That's all. I am really thinking to switch back to the older version of Accord.

I found this car near Chicago. It was the right year model and color I wanted. There were only 4in all of the U.S. at that time.

Change from Camry

4-cylinder less powerful than Camry although better gas mileage. Air conditioning less effective and trunk space less useable. Also, intermittent and thankfully rare electrical glitch that results in all windows going down and sunroof opening when not in car!

Great Car

My 2010 Accord 4-cyl EX-L (without nav) does exactly what you expect from a Honda, provide a very nice driving experience in every way. I bought this car because it was a safe bet. Great reliability, good gas mileage, and great resale value. As of now (late Dec 2010) I have only about 2000 miles and so far no problems. I purchased this car late October with some great year-end clearances, so this ended up being not much more than a used Accord. The car is well refined, and nothing about the car feels cheap, besides the information screen. This screen shows the climate info and radio, and of all things this could have been updated to look more modern. Otherwise this car looks great. I've had my car mistaken for BMW's, Lexus' and Mercedes'. The 4-cylinder engine is powerful and very smooth, but this is a heavy full-sized car, so it's not terribly fast, but I also don't expect that. It's very peppy for 99% of driving, and that's all I need. Other cars such as the Sonata may offer a little more initially for the money, but at 100k miles, which car will still keep going for another 100k? My bet is the Accord.

no more accord

sorry honda lovers, after old accord and camry I'm not Impressed by 2010 accord. low comfort, noisy and rough ride , not impressive real life gas mileage, 3 times in the service within 7 month (brakes, transmission and electrical problems). Gladly traded for 2011 Camry ($4K less than compatible accord), took best trade in offer for accord, lost ?only? 4 grand in 10 month and 6K miles on it-so much for Honda value? I liked my old accord, reliable, and inexpensive, but looks like Honda moved away from it. sorry. Should?ve get camry earlier.

An expensive feeling ride for an inexpensive price

I test drove an Avalon, and a Genesis as well as an Azera and thought the Accord was on par with all of them at $5000 less! Don't get me wrong they are all great cars, but not worth the extra $5000 that I saved on the Accord EX-L V6. A true joy to drive.

Uninspiring Drive

I've had this Accord Coupe for three months now and wish I had gone for a BMW or Audi. I drove a BMW for ten years and really miss the performance and handling of the German-made coupes. The Accord has a V6 with 270 HP but slows considerably when the AC is on. Overall, an OK car but not worth the money.
