GREAT VEHICLE

Excellent vehicle! GMC has created a winner! Our gas mileage has been quite good - we have not taken it on a trip but consistantly get 22 to 23 MPG around the local area with the V6 engine. The interior is well appointed, seats are quite comfortable and we have not found a single thing in or on the car that has caused a problem. We currently have almost 5000 miles on our Terrain and simply love everthing about the vehicle. All of the safety features combined with On Star gives us a great deal of comfort while driving our Terrain. The quality of the workmanship is excellent - great suv, reasonably priced for all of the features that are standard - a great value and fun to drive!

Best Crossover to date

I love this vehicle, everything about it except I'm not a GREAT fan of the 4 cylinder, only because I was so used to a 6 cylinder prior, and the shifting just isn't as smooth. Pricing is great, even the lowest package has alot of options.

Terrific New Model

Ordered and purchased the car after much research and comparison with other brands and models. Have driven it about 1k so far and am thoroughly enjoying the space, ride, interior features and overall comfort. Use it for both highway and local driving and am averaging about 27mpg thus far. Expect this to improve. 4L engine not as peppy but I am in no hurry and appreciate the mileage savings.

FAMILY LOVES THIS CAR

We really love this vehicle. Bought in Sept 09 one of the first to do so. It has easily lived up to our expectations. The AWD is great in the winter going through heavy wet snow up hills with no problems. Only area not a 5 is the gas mileage which has continued to improve. Have the 4 cylinder and get a combined 26 with a 50/50 mix. Took it on a 1200 mile trip with almost ideal conditions at 70MPH on a interstate hwy and got 29 MPG. The interior space is great. The rear seats slide back to give extra leg room if needed. All in all the perfect family of 4 SUV.

Great vehicle for what it is!

I'm a tough critic and have been very please with this CUV (car, truck, SUV, crossover?). Excellent styling inside and out, fantastic handling, great mpg for its size/weight, and a good value for the money. I am averaging about 24 MPG overall so far at 3k miles with the I4 AWD and that is probably 70% interstate coomuting and 30% mixed city/suburban driving. My other vehicle is a Tahoe and the Terrain is very different from the standpoint of how it uses its HP based on the fuel saving 6 speed transmission, but that is to be expected. The Terrain hesitates more when you punch the gas. I appreciate the change from about 15.5 avg MPG commuting in the Tahoe vs. the 24 MPG avg I am getting now and I understand that my MPG should improve a bit as the new engine gets broken in. I test drove a couple Ford Escapes and the Terrain is definitely superior, even for the extra cost. I have had no problems with it yet, but my fingers are crossed of course since it is the first model year for this new vehicle.

Poor Mileage

I would have recommended this vehicle highly if it could have gotten anywhere near the mileage it states on the sticker. The only reason I bought it was for the mileage and only getting 26 hwy not the 32 it states. Will rate it higher if that improves but I already have 8000 miles on it and not yet. Dealer says it needs to be broke in at 10,000 miles. Don't see it happening.

Luv It

Great vehicle for the $$. Only thing I miss is the power but the exchange for the great gas mileage. It feels luxurious even though the price tag is low. I've driven it about a 1,000 miles....totally love it.

very nice vehicle

This car is beautiful inside and out, especially the blue outer color. Drives like a car, very roomy and comfortable. The only complaint is that I am not getting the gas mileage I expected. Granted it is an awd, but havent been close to the mpg's they quote.

Awesome

I dont know why everyone compares the Terrain to the CRV, Rav4, Rogue and the Escape. It compares very well to the Highlander and Murano. I was looking at the Highlander and Murano until I sat in and drove the much better value Terrain.
