The Terrain is a nice SUV

The 4 cyl engine delivers respectable MPGs. With AWD we saw 28mpg highway 24mpg combined. The interior is comfortable with lots of features and technology. iPhone audio connectivity was built in to our Terrain, but Android devices only work through the headphone/aux jack. Bluetooth only connects for calls--not music. The back seat is HUGE! If you need the room for a family of 4, the Terrain has room for 4 large family members and maybe one more smaller one. The rear seat moves forward and back to give you the room where you need it. If you are looking at a good value, give the Terrain a try.

Great crossover wifes happy = the whole family is happy . Great on gas for the amount of room it has . Still haven't reached the 30 plus MPG that is says it gets yet.

Money pit

This was not a good year it had 79 thousand miles this car was not built to last . I had to check oil every week to make sure oil was still in the car. One after another I was spending over $800 dollars monthly for repairs . It became too much to keep this car on the road daily. The money I spent on this car I could of purchased a luxury forgien car of my choice.

Eh not the best vehicle

Timing Chain issue. Do not like the interior, and blind spots are horrible. I feel like Im in an airplane driving this vehicle. Not a good sensation.

Gave it too many chances

It was used but I loved the look. Was looking for better gas mileage than my 6 cylinder but was not any better. A Christmas visit turned in to needing a new transfer case with 74000 miles. A few thousand miles later needed a new timing chain. There was a factory letter concerned with oil consumption, I now have a rebuilt engine with 77000 miles. The seatbelt indicator quit working, $250 to fix it. Never ending. Car scares me.

Don't purchase

I've had this car for 4 months and have already dropped 1k on it for wheel bearing issues, headlight malfunctioning, and a fan belt motor. I bought it with less than 50k miles on it and have driven it 8900 miles.

Improved build quality by GM

The vehicle is great...gas mileage could be better. Build quality has improved as well as the materials used.

do not buy a terrain

I am a busy NJ Realtor--I purchased this car in 2010 because I liked that it was a SUV with a 4 cylinder-- 18 months into ownership I started experiencing problems with the motor--After being tortured by the dealership I was vindicated--I received a new motor April 2013--so yesterday March 29th 2014 I was told that I need a new transmission! First inspection is not due until April 2015! I am at wits end! This is the first car that I researched and purchased on my own--my husband wanted me to purchase a HONDA OR A TOYOTA BUT I WANTED TO BUY AMERICAN! WOW WHAT A MISTAKE--- I NEED HELP!

Terrain Is a bad choice

GMC is flat out lying to public about miles per gallon specification. Oil indicator system flat does not work. Every time I have to take it to the shop they make excuses why the warranty isn?t covered. I will never buy another GMC.
