I owned this car for 9 years with relatively few issues.

I owned this car for 9 years with relatively few issues. There were several minor recalls that were easily rectified at the dealer, but other than that, it was a reliable car, that was comfortable, and is still stylish. The interior controls are convenient and easy to use. It was fun to drive and had good acceleration.

My battery has went dead and sparked on the negative side

My battery has went dead and sparked on the negative side causing the whole passager front and back door locks and windows not to work at all. It's not fuse related. Also it has caused my 4 face blowing vent not to blow air out and now I have no heat coming out, but it is making through to everything. It like the controllers are not working it or something. This is all from when my battery went dead! Not happy and causing me problems and Ford wants to charge to much to to even take one look at it and that's not to even fix it!!

FORD (Fix Or Replace Daily).

It's the absolute worse Ford car I owned. I owned a small fleet of Ford vans for my business and those are tough. However, Fusion hybrid plug in 2014 model is a disaster (Titanium trim PHEV). Had over 7 recalls. The most troubling one is the weak transmission HF35 and the Inverter/TCM. Most dealers just blow it off when I had the problem. Only 1 advisor step up to tell me Ford warranty it up to 150K on the EV system, but replaced it with a refurbished unit that only lasted about 28K miles; then the Inverter (TCM) went out. The recall was supposed to include the TCM/PCM replacement too, but the dealer skimp out on that & hoped owner gets passed 150K miles then bye bye. At 105K my CVT Tranny went out (HF35); at 141k the Inverter had intermittent problem and go into limp mode, "STOP SAFELY NOW". So frustrated with the run around, I parked it for a year. Then the rat got into it & chew up couple of brake wires that disabled the ABS/Traction Control features (2 wires) because the cable housing are made of SOY!! (food/bio grade). Now, instead of tackle the heart of the problem, the dealer wants to use the rat as a scapegoat & pointed to the wiring harness. However, the previous diagnosis was wrong already prior to the rat problem. The dealer just want to dance around the problem & seems many techs aren't up on hybrids & EVs nor are the service advisors (they just want to churn you for the diagnostic fees $240 or thereabouts). No accountability from Ford dealers (refraining from naming names). Most just shrug it off; and one that tried to help, did it half xxx. Poor design (i.e. putting the PCM next to a hot gas engine when it should have been placed in a cool part of the engine. Other small nuisances like the cable for the rear trunk, if you accidently left your FOB in your sport bag after the gym & closed it, you're locked out. If you have no power or the motor fails, you're locked out of your trunk). The few good things are the sexy body design after the Aston Martin look alike and it does ride nice but only for 4 adults of average weight. Lots of tech bells and whistles. Max passenger/cargo load of around 800 lbs., and under power. Stay away from Fusion. Not built to last in my opinion. A throw away car around 150K miles.

Great car wish they still made it I'd buy another.

Had this car for almost ten years with only one repair. I had a purge valve die and it cost me under $300 to fix. I have a Titanium edition and everything still works and runs great. This has been one of the most trouble free cars I have had. In the past I have gotten rid of cars sooner but this one has been great so I kept it. It gets oil changes about every 4000 miles and has never burnt a lick of oil. Going to give it to my son when I'm done with it.

Why Ford Probably Left the Car Business

Bought new, with all bells and whistles. Titanium trim. Full warranty. Dealer maintained. Extended warranty to 109,000 miles. 110,000 miles now. Left low beam headlight bulb finally blew out. Nightmare to replace! Used to be an easy task. Now 4 days! Local skilled mechanics wouldn't' touch it. Selling Dealer refused a request for quote! Now I understand why! I have unprintable thoughts for the systems integrator! I am an experienced Ford and Jaguar Owner, Mechanic, and Competitor.

Faulty Ford Fusion Sales!!

I've had all maintenance work kept up on this vehicle. Regardless of what Ford has written up! I've had the vehicle for 9 years. I've had this car in the shop so many times I have stopped counting. There have been 23 recalls on this car since I've owned it!! I have never had them honor but a couple of them. They have overcharged me so many times, and my car has never ran the same since! I am very disheartened with the Ford dealership at Town & Country Ford. I originally traded my Ford Explorer in for the Fusion. I was so happy with my Explorer but it took had transmission issues, now this one has them too. I want to stay away from them now. I am out out financially because they are simply a money pit and an unsafe vehicle for my family. But that didn't matter to them.

2014 Ford Fusion S. Very good car from my side!

I bought this car in 2019 with 86,000 miles. Now I am around 140,000 miles and it has been very reliable. For the majority of the time I have owned it I have had the check engine light on for catalytic converter and its stayed on even after replacing but its just a threshold code. Minimal maintenance has happened and it still rides smooth. Drivers side window has come off the track several times which even then that is the most annoyance I have had and that is saying a lot for a vehicle. Highway cruising it says I get around 34/35mpg and when I am city/slower highways its around 25 overall. This is the only car I've owned and will hate when I have to get rid of it. Vehicle does have recalls but I have not noticed anything wrong. Very happy with owning this vehicle overall. I do know if you get the SE or higher models with more electronics and newer you will of course find some more issues.

Fusion fiw

I have a 2014 Ford fusion. The dealer in my town said they would not fix any recalls until I fixed my door latch. My lawyer says I have a case.
