1995 Chevrolet Astro consumer reviews

I purchased it from an HVAC Business in Peoria, IL in 1998 with 120,000 miles for 3900.00. I gave it a lot of love over the years, repainted 3 times, an Eaton positrac unit with 3.73 gears, had Continental rebuild the transmission. I love the size, it is like a clown car, very spacious but fits in the garage. I hope to keep her on the road for years to come. I service Industrial Machinery and it is a great brief case for my tools. If you own one, the positive battery cable splitter and EGR valve can give you problems. I cut floor and put a framed door over my fuel tank for 27.00, can change a fuel pump in 15 mins., highly recommended.

We own a 1995 Astro which we bought 7 years ago USED with 86K miles on it. It has been the BEST vehicle we've EVER owned. We've replaced a few parts including the fuel pump which we did ourselves...not hard once you get the gas out. :) Our van is now at 239K and we're looking for another one with miles under 100K...however, our current van is still going strong...no engine problems at ALL. We're so pleased...we hope they come back out with them! Dumbest thing they did was quit making them!
