2006 Acura TL consumer reviews

After driving nothing but Honda Accords for my whole life, the TL has been a great upgrade. My only regret about getting the 2006 is that it is five years old, and doesn't have all the technology that the new ones have. But overall, fantastic car.

This is our second Acura. The first one was a TSX that we loved, but alas, she was totaled after being creamed by a bad driver. So, we bought a used TL. Love, love, love this car!

Drove Lexus Es and though I liked the gimmicks I loathed the old-people-ride. The Acura has been nothing but plush but yet retains road feel. Having driven Hondas for years from Civics to three Accords the handling is of it's own identity. But it's the fun-to-drive that separates this car from other luxuries. I've had nothing of the noisy squeaks others complain of. Have driven mostly on regular gas with little difference of power. The interior is much better than Infinity's boring looks. The exterior still gets second looks from others though my car is dated.

Found this TL in Ukiah. Worth the drive from the Bay Area. Price reduced because of some body work that was fixed but listed on Carfax. Best deal in Bay Area at the time.

In my opinion, acura has reached the pinnacle of engineering and style with this generation Acura TL (2006). The car is both beatiful and reliable. The 6-spd manual is slick and fun to drive. It is fast, handles like it's on rails and is very comfortable. This is my favorite sport sedan I have ever owned. Previously, I drove a 2000 Maxima, which was a good car, but did not excite my senses like the Acura. The Car I owned before the Maxima was the Acura Vigor, which turned into the 2.5TL back in the mid 90's. The Vigor was an excellent and exciting car. I knew I needed to get another Acura. They are the best cars on the road for the money. The only complaint I have about the car is that the interior room isn't good with a baby seat in the back. If we have another kid I am going to have to sell it! :( In my opinion, over the last 20 years there have been a few cars that stand out. These seem to be highly sought after and might turn into classics one day. They are the Acura Legend Coupe, the BMW 3-series, Lexus IS and the 04-08 Acura TL. The new TL is ugly. The grill is such a turnoff that I wouldn't trade mine with 94K for a new one right now!

The acura tl is one of the best cars. It is better than bmw 3 series, audi a4, mercedes c class, and many others. This car is more reliable than all the others and it last long.

I've loved driving this car. It has a powerful V6 258 hp engine, the quickest acceleration of all 2006 luxury sedans & great handling. Reliable navigation system, sleek and comfortable interiors and importantly for anyone with kids, the highest safety ratings of all 2006 luxury sedans. A special car.

The turn radius is horrendous because the front end is too long (see BMW's 3-Series). The shiny interior cheapens the car. The silver looks like plastic. It needs the wood grain appearance (see the Mercedes E-350). Apart from these imperfections, the TL is a superb automobile.

I love this car. Smooth riding, great acceleration, responsive good cornering, while driving. It rides a little stiff, but that's what I like. I love the styling, especially interior. The one I purchased has pinstripes which really add a touch of extra class to the exterior. I have navigation which makes the sound system a real treat especilly listening to my favorite tunes. It seems Acura's paint and exterior are second to none as my 2006 has been thaought to be an 08 or 09 from those who don't know the styling changes. 2 complaints. No automatic lights and somewhat noisy on roads not smoothly paved.
