Best I've owned so far
Have owned the car for over a year and decided to show my appreciation by writing a review. I love the exterior cut. Its sporty, yet serious and elegant. Not presumptious yet impressive to any casual observer. My wife was against me getting it as she preferred the appeal of a Mercedes C class or BMW 3 series, however she will routinely admire it when she walks by it to her car and says she is grateful that I never listened to her. Interior: let me preface that i am short therefore spacing is perfect. The leather is the best I've seen in any other luxury brand. Still in mint condition and the details such as door nobs and panels are obviously lined with quality materials. Trunk space is not that big but practical in shape. Back seats do not fold which can be a vice. The ride is excellent, minimum road noise (I recommend the wind guard on the moon roof). Acceleration is beautiful and handling is as good as can be expected. Gas mileage is decent, remember it is a V6 and runs best with Premium gas. If this is a problem for your budget do not choose this vehicle. Navigation system is great, updates are ridiculously expensive, cant knock the model for that however. Love the blue tooth functionality and surround sound is great. Overall it is an amazing car, best value in its class by far. Also believe its the best generation. Would not consider upgrading to the new model unless they come out with one truer to this generation. Mine is a 2006 TL, 37,000 miles and it honestly looks, feels and runs like new. I dont know if I will ever feel the need to upgrade.

Definitely worth every penny
This car is incredible to drive. You feel the G-forces acting against you when you press down the accelerator. No feeling like it, its a luxury car with a real engine.

I love my car.
I got my 2006 TL with Navigation in November of 2005. I get 22 mpg on average. Pros: Acceleration, smooth ride, very comfortable seats, great sound system. Cons: price :) Over almost 5 years I had to replace a sub woofer (warranty) and a Hands Free Link unit (extended warranty).

An ok car.
The car was great at first!I had the the car for about a year now and ready to go back to my lexus. The car is not comfortable for long car trips and the road noise is very loud. I do have to say the power to this car is amazing. The inside rattles alot while you are on the the road. I would not recommend this car to any friends.

worst car ever!!!!!!
I recently bought an acura tl 2006 pre-owned. I have to say I really repent they day I bought this thing. First I noticed after I bought it that the interior rattles like crazy. Road noise is terrible!!! It just feels that the car is cheaply made. Second the transmission started leaking at 45k miles. They replaced it but the car was never the same. Lost power, torque, and acceleration. The dealer couldn't find anything wrong with it (of course). Third, the leather seats crack so much and so fast than any other brand I've owned. Four year old seats look like 20yrs old!!! I had a ford long time ago and I used to complain about it every single day and now I wish I had that car instead of this one. Sorry ford, come back!!! If you want to pay big bucks for a piece garbage then go right ahead, but don't say I didn't warn you.

Stylish Acura
I am very happy with my TL, I'm learning to appreciate the more 'aggressive' feel since I had previously driven a Lexus. By using cars.com, I was able to get a price well below the sticker price the dealer listed for people who just showed up at the lot to look for a car. There are many features to learn on this car, and the buggiest one is probably the Acura HandsFreeLink. This is probably nit-picky on my part though, because this bluetooth system has to be able to work with hundreds, if not thousands, of bluetooth-enabled phones. I am using a MyTough 3G with Android 1.6. Pairing the phone to the bluetooth system sometimes leaves me unable to adjust the volume of my car's speakers. The trunk space isn't great, but I can live with it. The interior is spacious and the leather is mint. Gas mileage is good, I can usually squeeze out 25 mpg by driving conservatively. On the highway I'm usually around 31 mpg. Overall, I am very satisfied and plan on keeping my car for a long time.

Awesome car with electrical issue
This car is awesome and a great value. However, the one thing that is problematic is that within 4 days of leaving your car sit in the driveway the battery goes dead. This is a known issue for which the dealer has no fix. If you drive every day, it's an awesome car. If you drive once a week or leave it at an airport parking lot while on vacation you will need AAA on its way when you get back.

Awesome Car
I have had many different types of cars over the 40 years I have been driving and the Acura TL is probably one of my favorites. Totally reliable! The car spoils you. The stereo is definitely the best I have ever heard in a car. I leased it for 3 1/2 years and hated to turn it in.

Unbeatable for the Money
I own a 2006 Acura TL w/ a 6 sp manual (rare). With the exception of navigation and performance tires, the car has everything else. Beautiful lines, inside and out. The only two things I don't care for are: 1) too much body roll where it should be tighter, 2) no reclining back seat to provide better/more storage. If you can live with this, then buy it!
