Will promise you the world but when it comes time to fix

Will promise you the world but when it comes time to fix my car they NEVER HAVE A LONER and it will take 2 months to even get your car looked at! This has happened 2 times now. I believe it’s because they sell junk cars because why would there service center be 2 months out every time I need something fixed. Will NEVER buy from them again!!!

Jess, we're sorry to hear about your experience and would love to get to the bottom of it with you and see if there is something we can come up with to turn it around for you as quickly as possible. If you would be willing to continue the conversation, we would appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. Please let us know the best way to reach you.

I bought my truck in October 2024.

I bought my truck in October 2024. I took it back after the first week I had it and told them I didn't want it. Too many issues. They assured me they would fix everything (go through it with a fine toothed comb they said). They had it several more times after that! For a year I kept saying there was a transmission issue. The Service Mgr finally drove it and agreed. They took it in and then the Service Mgr called to ask if I had the transmission flushed. I told him they had done it. He proceeded to tell me that my extended warranty (which I paid for but wasn't given a copy of) wouldn't cover it because there was "nothing to show as proof". I told him he needed to figure something out because it was their mistake. He called back to say he would put a transmission in "out of the goodness of their heart" but I would have to pay $5-600 for gaskets etc. I said fine as it was cheaper than paying for the transmission too. They had my truck at least 4-6 weeks and called one day to say that when they put my truck on the hoist the mechanic heard "a loud crack noise" and the frame on my truck had broken! The Service Mgr told me he was "going to rack his brain" to see what they could do. My regular insurance doesn't cover that. The dealership is required to have Garage Keeper's Liability Insurance to cover issues such as this. THEY ARE DOING NOTHING! They are giving my broken truck back and washing their hands of me! Never mid that I owe over $20,000 on a vehicle that I can't drive! The "owners" (TJ Horner, Mike Lance) said too many miles and too old of a year (it's a 2015-just 10 yrs old) so there's "nothing they can do"!!! Obviously there's nothing THEY WILL DO. My son and 2 of my grandchildren bought Jeeps from Labadie Toyota right around the same time I bought. My grandson's Jeep had to have transmission work done several times! My granddaughter's Jeep had to have a new motor put in! That was due to the incompetence of the mechanics working there. She has had the Jeep back SEVERAL times. The last time was because one of the mechanics put the WRONG RADIATOR CAP on it and all of the fluid blew out! My son's Jeep hasn't been in yet...but it's beginning to have issues too! That's FOUR vehicles purchased and FOUR pieces of junk! I can't begin to say how disappointed I am in Labadies! They have refused to put the transmission in my truck now, as well. I am honestly APPALLED at them! It's obvious that once they have your $$$ they don't care about doing the "right thing" anymore. They were more concerned with getting their loaner vehicle back than they are with how I (a 64 yr old woman) am going to get to and from my job. The only vehicles that I have purchased have been from Labadies. My husband's truck and my GMC Jimmy (2001 with barely over 150,000 miles and still better that the 2015 they sold me). "Neighborhood business", "cares about the community", "doing the right thing"...not from where I'm standing!! RUN, don't walk, AWAY from this dealership! **The ONLY bright spot in the whole place is Maddie. Not sure what her title is (drops off and picks up vehicles) but she is ALWAYS pleasant, respectful, and helpful. The one service writer they had, Justin, was also ALWAYS great! He left (smart guy). I am so disappointed and devastated by their actions, I can't even say... They got their money...they're happy...

Jill, we're sorry that you didn't have a completely satisfying visit. Would it be possible to have someone from our management team reach out to you directly to discuss? We'd love the opportunity to address any issues with our team here. Thank you for your time, and hopefully, we can get to the bottom of this.

We recently purchased our third vehicle from this dealership and have had great luck every time with our salesman, Sammy Coleman! He is honest, kind and very knowledgeable. We trust him to sell us a dependable vehicle at the best price and would never go anywhere else!

RUN!

RUN!!! DONT WALK away from this shady dealership!!! Made a deal on a truck, negotiated some upgrades and the deal was complete, informed them of my pre-approval through my bank and their crooked salesperson John O'Rourke said, we can beat that, just fill out our form online and then we will take a deposit over the phone. I did just that (immediately) and then John sent me requests for DL, insurance and plate transfer (sent immediately) . After that, did not answer my calls or text to his "personal" phone. I was planning out my day to come pick up my new truck and at the end of the business day, he called me to say that someone else bought it. Did not offer an apology, tried to explain it away like its no big deal... Upon confronting him about heir shady and and un-ethical business practice, he just shrugged it off. Not only did they screw me on the truck i wanted, they had me run my credit for a deal they stole from me. When I asked for his "manager" he had already handed the phone to someone that identified themselves as the manager and then hung up on me. If you want to get screwed, this is the dealer for you!!! Shame on these unscrupulous "business people". Reporting these a** hats anywhere I can so nobody else has to go through this type of scam. Now, I just await their canned response about how they take their customer service seriously and will strive to speak to their crooked salespeople about doing better. These guys just don't care and belong in a different industry. Maybe cleaning toilets would be their speed...

Brian, this is Chris, one of the managers at Labadie. First off, I want to apologize to you that you had that kind of experience with us. We pride ourselves on giving our customers a great experience and clearly, that was anything but. I'd be happy to discuss with you about how we can possibly make amends. Again, I'm coming into this somewhat blind, so I don't know how/why this happened, but I'll look into it.

Josh was very professional and pleasant to work with.

Josh was very professional and pleasant to work with. He helped us navigate our best options and was very flexible throughout the buying process. I appreciate that everything Josh said he was going to do, he did. Well done Josh.

Terrible Company.

Terrible Company. Niether the company nor the dealers have any morals or values. They will rip off anyone regardless of age, gender or income. Sold me a car that was supposed to be perfect. 3 days after purchasing car all the caulk started falling off and engine started pouring oil everywhere. Cars pretty much junk now.

Our daughter test drove a 2017 Chevy Trax on Wednesday

Our daughter test drove a 2017 Chevy Trax on Wednesday March 24th 24. Drove very nice asking price was a little above book value but they informed her they had put $4,000 worth of work into car they did reduce price a bit. Brakes and hosing is one of the supposedly jobs done on the car.)She was happy with it so she purchased it. They said they would deliver to her in Mt Pleasant on Friday at noon March 6th. Car was delivered at noon sharp. She immediately went to take it for a ride and the brakes were squealing so bad. She called me and I could hear just how bad they were. By 12:30 she called dealership no answer left a message no return call on Friday. Saturday she drove home to Alpena not realizing there was also no heat now. Once she got home we found that there was no coolant in the car. Filled it up and heat was working. I called Monday to try and get some answers as to why no return call to her and to see why her brakes were squealing when they were not on Wednesday when she test drove and to find out why no coolant in car. Cody is who I spoke to, first question he asked was if she got the extended warranty. No sorry, not one concern that he had just sold my daughter a car with no coolant or brakes that were not squealing on the day she test drove. From that point on that I had said she did not get the extended warranty he was arrogant told me I was not going to tell him what to do when I said this needed to be corrected with my daughter. That the brakes were not squealing like this when she test drove. She had made an appointment with them to come test drive the car. Fluids were filled also when she test drove. So within 48 hours of the test drive and being delivered there was no fluid and the brakes some how became questionable. He was no help at all except to let me know that she could bring it back but she would have to pay to have them looked at. This morning my daughter reached out to him he still had not returned her call and he was arrogant and condescending to her as well. Worst experience ever on any SUV/ Car purchases we have ever had. She does have a 30 day 1,000 mile 50% warranty but this has left us with such a bad taste that how could we even trust that they will do the job asked of them. I hope this will make anyone question if they are at the right dealership for their needs. Hopefully other sales associates don’t act like Cody. He is the bad apple and why this review is being made.
