Unethical business practice. When financing the dealership checked multiple different lenders, however did not disclose that to me. I was only presented with and offered financing through Toyota. It’s was not until I was notified by credit monitoring services I learned that I had multiple inquiries. At the time of financing, the dealership did not disclose they applied to other lenders nor the rates they offered. The real issue was when I reached out to one of the other lenders inquiring about the rate I was offered, and it was 2% less than what I got with Toyota. I trusted this dealership to work on my behalf. If there was a lower rate available I should have be made aware. I was never even told by the dealership who the other lenders were. The only solution I was offered was to refinance if I can get a better rate. Gee thanks. I’m sure this isn’t an isolated incident with this dealership or this brand, but they will not get my business again.
