took the car in for a minor problem and was told that the warranty was up.It wasn't and I knew that but the service guy argued and said it was up 5 days prior. When he realized that I was right, he then informed me that I had not brought the car back for a recall.. I don't remember getting a notice, but what ever... I was there, just do it,sorry maybe I missed it. I did get a call that the car was done,but they found 2 other things that needed to be done (chg filters). I was not prepared for $150 right then,so I asked them to just repair what I needed done right then. ($50 to thaw out windshield solvent) they told me that someone had but in substandard windshield solvent,maybe where I had the oil chged last? Huh. Ok ,so does it really cost $50 to chg a filter? So,anyway, the nice Honda driver came and picked me up,took me back,I paid the $50 for whoever put substandard Solvent in my car and drove away.. When I went to turn on the blower on it sounded like an airplane landed on my car...what in the world? I turned around and went back, the first service guy that insulted me was gone, but someone who worked on my car came out and took something out of the glove box and shook it out and then replaced it. He walked over to me and says,we told you to replace it..it was the cabin filter..it was fine when I took it there for the windshield problem, and I would have gotten the filters replaced As soon as I could, but guess what....I will not ever go back there..I loved my Honda, but not to be treated like that..it's all about CUSTOMER SERVICE and attitude,and Honda right now you have a problem.. I now will be driving a Toyota BTW what happened to all the old Honda sales people??? Gone like me!!!!

Vehicle purchase
I inquired about a vehicle, the guy showed it to me. I told him that I will buy the car, but I had class so I asked if I could come back later to finish the purchase. The sales guy said sure, since they had to clean up the car and put new tires on it. When I came back the guy says, sorry, the car is sold. Then he tries to sell me a more expensive car with none of the features of the car I was looking at. Waste of a lot of my time. So I just walked across the street to Subaru, found a better car for less with all the same options.

Bought a New Accord!
We dreaded shopping for a new or used car, but we had a great experience at Ithaca Honda, Chad was our salesperson and was not high pressure at all and that was wonderful. He went over everything with us. Overall good experience from a couple that "hates" car shopping. Hope to have the Honda a long time.

Scam Artist
Don't bother here- they advertised a car at $10k and when we showed up to buy it, they said it had been sold. We left our phone number and asked them to call us if the deal fell through. The deal did fall through but the did not call us. We called them and they lied to us, telling it had been sold. Truth is, they decided to get greedy. They sold it the next day for $12K. Dishonest and bad business.

Nissan purchase
I purchased a used 2008 Nissan from this dealer. The salesman was courteous, knowledgable and did not pressure me into a purchase, which has caused me to go elsewhere in the past. The salesperson also went out of his way to show me the vehicle and made the initial move by reducing the price before I made an offer. Excellent experience.

Easiest car purchase ever.
I will start off by saying that I have purchased a lot of vehicles in the last ten years, and have never written a review on Cars.com before this. This was the easiest car purchase I ever had. The best part is that it was all done over the phone, with good old fashioned honesty. I told them about my trade and was very specific. They told me what they could get me for my trade. They answered all my questions about the vehicle I was interested in and we struck a tentative deal, so I made the trip to the dealership. The car was exactly as they described, and the paperwork was all ready. Nothing different than we discussed, they even set up financing with the lowest competitive rate for me. They did not try to slide in any extra terms, or fees, or percentage points. The salesman was great (Jeff) and the whole experience was awesome. To top it off, they beat the next best competitors price by about $2000.00, no joke. What's not to like about that. Even though it is a bit of a trip for me, when I, or anyone in my family or friends is ready for another car purchase, I would not hesitate to take a look at Honda of Ithaca's website, and call Jeff. Other car dealerships should take notes.

Super Smooth Process
Chad, our salesperson, is one of the nicest and easy going person I've ever met. Most of the negotiations were handled by phone and email. They delivered on their promises we discussed prior to my trip down from Canandaigua.
