Great car, terrible service.

Dealer lost my registration. My temporary registration runs out tomorrow. The manager, Seth Cohen was rude, yelled at me and hung up on me when I called. My insurance was cancelled except for liability because the dealer didn't send a bill of sale or MOS to my insurance company. Countless phone calls to the dealer only to be told not to worry, they know what they are doing. My new CR-V will be parked until HONDA OF ITHACA CAN mail me my permanent registration. I was billled 160.00 for a the new registration even though my trade was just registered a couple months earlier for 2 years, it turns out HONDA OF ITHACA owes me a refund with my new registration.TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. A co-worker of mine said he was treated the same way, he drove over 100 miles to Rochester to purchase his new CR-V. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE.

Absolutely no dickering!

I called them after calling a competitor in Auburn and these guys, especially Erin, were on the money and there was absolutely no dickering. I told them what I wanted, what I was looking for, and 2 hours later the deal was done. The competitors couldn't keep up with Ithaca Honda if they tried! This is the second vehicle purchase I have made with them, both over the phone, and the competition in no way could keep up. Straight forward and easy to work with. Jeff, Erin, you guys are AWESOME!!!!!!

Pilot Purchase

Great place to purchase your next Honda. Best car buying experience, Erin made it stress free. It was worth the 1 1/2 drive to the dealership. Purchased a Pilot and leased an Accord.

Poor Customer Service

Brought my truck in for the airbag recall - had my own issues with Honda of America and the fact that I had to pay for my rental to which Honda Corporate was of absolute no help. Finally picked my truck up after the dealer had it for a month - the exterior was filthy and they scratched my beautiful black truck to xxxx. Pictures before and after it was brought in. Service manager told me they don't wash cars - yet they wash cars for deliveries and body work, and that there was no way the damage was done to my truck while they had it and even if it was, they aren't liable for damage done while on the lot. This looks like someone took a screwdriver to my paint. First, and last Honda and exactly why I don't bring my truck there normally. Again, Honda of America highly unhelpful.

GREAT SERVICE!

I would like to say how pleased I am with the personnel in your parts and service department -particularly Steve T. In 2013 I bought my first Honda ever at Honda of Ithaca. In 2014 I needed an oil change and inspection. In the past I dreaded the long wait I often encountered while having my car serviced. Not so at Honda of Ithaca. Steve T. was not only prompt but also very courteous. Seemed as though I was on my way out almost before I got there. Then last week I needed fuses checked. I never even got to sit down before the work was done. Again Steve T. Thank you so much Steve !

Amazing service and easy buying experience

I had been to this dealer 2 times prior, I received great service those times as well. I am a new driver and was in the market for my first car, and it came the day for me to decide. I was in Ithaca looking at other cars and I saw a 2012 Honda Accord coupe certified for sale. I was attracted to it and a civic coupe. I decided to purchase the accord coupe. I gave them a few concerns I had with the car and they either fixed them or they took money off the price for me. I left the dealer with my accord coupe and I'm very satisfied with the process! If you're looking for a Honda go to Jeff or Erin! They're both great and I would definetly purchase another car in the future from them!

I found where they made back their money on my deal

I recently purchased a brand new 2015 CR-V. The negotiations went smooth, and the price on both my trade in and the lowered price in the new car were right in line. However, due to the mileage I drive, I wanted the extended warrantee. It was all rolled into the purchase and I left feeling good. When the documentation in the contract arrived it was sold at double the price of what other Honda dealers were selling it at. I confronted them but they were unapologetic and rude. I cancelled the contract with them and will seek to repurchase elsewhere. It's a shame really. Over a few hundred bucks they lost my business for service, future sales, and word of mouth. Buyer beware...

Nice buying experience

The price for the used car I was looking at was good to begin with, but they were still willing to negotiate. Matt was very easy to deal with. Sales staff worked very hard to successfully get the vehicle delivered in the time frame I needed. The financing rate was below anything I could find locally. The vehicle was freshly cleaned, had the new plates on it and a full tank of gas when I arrived to pick it up. The full tank of gas is not as common as one would think it should be. The overall experience was actually enjoyable, which is not a description one would normally give to the process of buying a car. It was well worth the two hour drive and I would recommend Honda of Ithaca to any of my friends and relatives.

Dishonest and lack integrity

Dishonest. Over priced. Lack of integrity. Agreed to lease a new civic to us with an $1100 trade in. When we did the math at home, they had taken $250 back behind our backs. Addressed the situation twice in person and followed up by phone. Then old us we were being disrespectful when we asked that they make it right and act in integrity. We are intelligent, honest and upfront community servants. Hondas are great cars. We strongly recommend that you go elsewhere to get one.

repairs

I was almost swindled into expensive and unnecessary repairs when I brought my 2003 Civic in for a routine oil change. When my "complimentary" diagnostic check-up reported that my brake pads and rotors needed replacement I was extremely lucky in that I couldn't afford the replacements on the spot. What's more, when I asked if the car would hold up for a 7-hour drive the next day I got vague answers that implied that the brakes could give out at any moment but wouldn't give a tangible estimate as to how long they would last. After the 7-hour drive with no problems whatsoever I brought the car to my trusted hometown mechanic, who reported that my brake pads and rotors were fine and I still had 10 or 15,000 miles to go before I would need the costly replacements. I won't be returning, they've proven to be very untrustworthy and the oil change was expensive.
