We brought our Nissan in due to a recall notice. Not happy about a recall so soon after we bought our certified pre-owned car. That said, our service rep Frank was very friendly and helpful. He kept us informed throughout the process. We also had new tires on as they were due to be replaced. Frank made the long process less stressful. I would definitely recommend Legend Nissan Service in Syosset.

This dealer is the best I have ever been to. Very attentive, knowledgeable and honest. As many customers are weary of dealers over charging or replacing things that don’t need to be, this dealer in Syosset is the best. I drive 30+miles to go to this specific dealers because of the great service. Joe is very professional and attentive and is always updating me while I am at the dealer having my vehicle serviced.

2017. - Jermaine was a nice salesman and the financing dept was very helpful in expediting the sale. Update- Now 9 Years later I wish I could say the same for my experience. I had work done on the transmission a year ago at the dealer at 110 k miles. Passed inspection fine in August but now at my 130 inspection. Cause of a get service light I learn the car needs $5000 of work including struts and arm replacement. This, I was told, was why the service light came on. I Took it to another garage connected to family and they said that wasn’t the problem, the service light was because the transmission was failing. So I would have paid $5k for a whole bunch of other things and then the transmission would have failed. Another $5k. This would have cost me $10k in total. Maybe why they say about rogues is true (I think it is) they have 100k miles and that’s it. I got it cheap when I bought it but won’t be getting a Nissan car again. Oh and the service guy said don’t buy a new car now they are all computerized (?) sure he was pushing the imagined $10k in service charges. My husband says “they’re all the same” I’m hoping he’s wrong for my next car. We should be getting more than 100-140k from cars today.

Ms. Mallon, We want to do our best to understand the issue at hand. You came to us with 110k miles on the vehicle. We did an inspection of the car and found no lights on but that it did in fact need maintenance items, having nothing to do with the future issue of a transmission problem. According to our notes, you didn’t mention anything about a service light nor did we see a light come on otherwise we would have diagnosed the problem. If we had the opportunity to diagnose the problem when you noticed the light, and if in fact you needed a transmission, we would have dramatically discounted the cost. In addition, we would have attempted to see if there was any financial assistance we could get from Nissan toward that repair. Are we correct that based on what you wrote, this light didn’t come on for 20,000 miles “after” you had come to us and you didn’t come back to us when the light came on? We’re not seeing anything in your file that you came to us with this light on and we don’t see any notes saying we quoted a price for the transmission. If our notes are wrong than we want to get this corrected immediately for you! We appreciate that you trusted us to take care of you and your car and we don’t want that trust compromised. I know our Service Manager Vanessa tried reaching you to discuss how we could gain your confidence back and we’re hoping for at least a chance to do that. Is there a good day and time for her to contact you?

He was transparent, patient, and always had my best interest at heart. He took the time to explain everything clearly and turned what could have been a stressful experience into a smooth and positive one. After the purchase, an issue did come up that needed attention. While resolving it required a bit of back and forth, Matthew remained responsive, supportive, and professional every step of the way. He consistently followed up and made sure I felt heard and valued, which meant so much. I also want to recognize Frank in the service department, who was absolutely fantastic. He was kind, attentive, and took the time to address my concerns thoroughly. His professionalism and willingness to help made a big difference in the overall experience. Customer service shouldn’t end once the sale is complete, and both Matthew and Frank proved that they genuinely care about their customers beyond the transaction. The salespeople were very anxious to make a sale, agreeing to all my requests. However, when I finally arrived to pick up the car, some of the fees that they had told me would be included, were not. Since it was a total of approximately an additional $350.00, I decided not to argue about it but it does make me feel hoodwinked..
